Bu tez kapsamında malzemelerin elektriksel özelliklerinin belirlenmesi için mikroşerit iletim hattı üzerine dikey olarak konumlandırılmış katmanlı algılama kısımlarının kullanıldığı alternatif mikrodalga sensör tasarımları çalışılmıştır. Katmanlı algılama kısımları tek taraflı ayrık halkalı rezonatör (AHR) ve çift taraflı ayrık halkalı rezonatör (ÇAHR) yapılarından meydana gelmektedir. Sensörler 1,524 mm ve 0,762 mm olmak üzere iki farklı kalınlığa sahip katı malzemeler ile incelenmiştir. Benzetim ortamında tasarlanan sensör yapılarının üretimleri gerçekleştirilerek ölçümleri yapılmıştır. Dielektrik sabiti değiştirilen test altındaki malzeme (TAM) ile yapılan benzetim ve ölçümlerde rezonans frekansının kaydığı gözlemlenmiştir. Benzetim sonuçlarından dielektrik sabiti ve rezonans frekansı bilgisi kullanılarak eğri uydurma aracı ile dielektrik sabiti tespiti için denklemler elde edilmiştir. Ölçüm ve benzetim sonuçları arasında uyumsuzluk gözlenmiş uyumu sağlamak için bir hata modeli oluşturulup TAM olarak belirlenen numunelerin dielektrik sabiti tespiti gerçekleştirilmiştir. Bununla birlikte benzetim sonuçları kullanılarak sensör yapılarının kayıp tanjant değişimi ile değişen iletim spektrumundaki genlik değerleri incelenmiştir. Kayıp tanjant değişimi ile değişen genlik bilgisi kullanılarak eğri uydurma aracı ile malzemelerin kayıp tanjant tespiti gerçekleştirilmiştir. Dielektrik sabiti tespitinde olduğu gibi ölçüm ve üretim hatalarını normalize etmek için hata modeli kullanılmıştır. Ek olarak hem dielektrik sabiti değişimine hem de kayıp tanjant değişimine göre tasarlanan sensör yapılarının hassasiyetleri hesaplanarak sensörlerin performansı değerlendirilmiştir. In this thesis, alternative microwave sensor designs using vertically positioned layered sensing parts on the microstrip transmission line were studied to determine the electrical properties of materials. The layered sensing parts consist of the single-sided split-ring resonator (SRR) and double-sided split-ring resonator (DSRR) structures. The sensors were examined with solid materials with two different thicknesses, 1.524 mm and 0.762 mm. The sensor structures designed in the simulation environment were fabricated and measured. It was observed that the resonance frequency shifted in the simulations and measurements made with the material under test (MUT) whose dielectric constant was changed. Using the dielectric constant and resonance frequency information from the simulation results, the equations for the dielectric constant determination were obtained with the curve fitting tool. In order to ensure the compatibility between the measurement and simulation results, an error model was created and the dielectric constant of the samples determined as MUT was determined. In addition, using the simulation results, the amplitude values of the sensor structures in the transmission spectrum changing with the loss tangent change were examined. By using the amplitude information that changes with the loss tangent change, the missing tangent detection of the materials was performed with the curve fitting tool. As in the dielectric constant determination, the error model is used to normalize the measurement and production errors. In addition, the performance of the sensors was evaluated by calculating the sensitivity of the sensor structures designed according to both the dielectric constant change and the loss tangent change.
