Kadın imgesi, hemen hemen her kültürde ve dönemde resim sanatının konusu olmuştur. Resim sanatında kadın bedeni, resim tarihi boyunca bazen dini bir figür, bazen gündelik hayattan biri veya sarayın içinden bir kişi olarak farklı şekillerde ele alınıp işlenmiştir. Kadının konumu, sorumlulukları, içinde bulunduğu topluma ve yaşadığı döneme göre farklılık göstermiştir. Bununla beraber kadın bedeninin cazibesi sanatçıların daima ilgisini çekmiş ve böylece eserlerinde kadın imgesine sıklıkla yer vermişlerdir. Sanatçılar, her zaman içinde bulundukları toplumun siyasal olaylarından, fikir akımlarından etkilenmiştir. Bu sebepten dolayı meydana getirilen bu eserlerde kadın figürüne yüklenen anlam ile toplumsal değişim ve dönüşümlerin etkilerini açıkça görmek mümkün olmuştur. "2000 Sonrası Çağdaş Türk Resim Sanatında Kadın İmgesi" adlı bu çalışma üç bölümden oluşmaktadır. Birinci bölümde, kavramsal çerçeve içerisinde imge, sembol, imgelem ve sanatta imge kavramları incelenerek açıklanmıştır. Sanat tarihinde kadın imgesinin nasıl ele alındığı, ilk kadın imgesi örneklerinin ne şekilde ortaya çıktığı, Türk resminde cumhuriyet öncesi ve sonrası olarak kadın figürünün toplumsal, kültürel etkenler ile meydana getirilen eserlerde estetik bir form olarak nasıl ele alındığı ve kadın imgesinin geçmişten günümüze önemi gösterilmiştir. İkinci bölümde, 2000 sonrası çağdaş Türk resim sanatında sanatçıların kadın imgesini eserlerine nasıl yansıttığı problem edinilmiştir. The image of a woman has been the subject of painting art in almost every culture and period. In the art of painting, the female body has been treated and processed in different ways throughout the history of painting, sometimes as a religious figure, sometimes as someone from everyday life or as a person from inside the palace. The position of the woman, her responsibilities differed depending on the society in which she lived and the period in which she lived. However, the attractiveness of the female body has always attracted the attention of artists, and thus they have often included the image of a woman in their works. Artists have always been influenced by the political events of the society in which they are located, the currents of ideas. For this reason, it was possible to clearly see the effects of social changes and transformations with the meaning placed on the female figure in these works that were created for this reason. This work, entitled "The Image of Women in Contemporary Turkish Painting Art After 2000", consists of three parts. In the first chapter, the concepts of image, symbol, imagination and image in art are examined within the conceptual framework and explained from general to specific. Discussed how images of women in art history, the image of the woman appeared in the manner of the first examples of the Turkish Republic of painting in the pre-and post-the female figure as social, political, and cultural factors discussed in works as an aesthetic form is caused by how the image of the woman demonstrates the importance from past to present. In the second part, the problem of how artists reflect the image of women in their works in contemporary Turkish painting after 2000 is learned.
