Bu çalışma, Süleyman Demirel Üniversitesi Fen Bilimleri Enstitüsü Jeoloji Mühendisliği Anabilim Dalında Yüksek Lisans Tezi olarak hazırlanmıştır. Çalışma konusu, Isparta'nın güneyinde yer alan Direkli Köyü çevresi ve Akdağ kuzeyindeki Tersiyer denizel birimlerinin nannoplanktonlara dayanan stratigrafik incelemesidir. Sahada gözlemleri, uydu görüntüleri ve çeşitli harita teknikleri ile yapılan tanımlamalar yanında; alınan ince taneli kayaç örneklerinde nannofosil kayıtları incelenerek elde edilen stratigrafik sonuçlar yardımı ile bölgenin jeoloji haritası düzenlenmiştir. Inceleme alanında bulunan jeolojik birimler alttan üste Isparta Ofiyolit Karmaşığı, Akdağ Kireçtaşı, Güneyce Formasyonu, Gölcük Formasyonu içerisinde yer alan volkanit ve piroklastitler ile güncel yamaç yelpaze tortullarından oluşmaktadır. Çalışma konusunu oluşturan Tersiyer yaşlı kayaç istifinde (Güneyce Formasyonu) yapılan nannofosil tanımlamalarına göre; formasyonun yaşı ve ortamsal özellikleri hakkında önemli bulgular elde edilmiştir. Eşyaşlı, havza içinden ve havza dışından taşınmış olarak ayırtlanan nannofosil verilerine dayanılarak çökelimin Burdigaliyen'de ve sığ denizde oluştuğu sonucuna varılmıştır. Ayrıca saha gözlemleri, stratigrafik sonuçlar, Landsat uydu görüntüleri ve üç boyutlu topografik harita görüntüleri karşılaştırmalı olarak yorumlanmış ve yörede daha önce yapılmış olan jeolojik harita ve kesitlerinde değişiklikler yapılmıştır. Buna göre Akdağ Kireçtaşı ve Güneyce Formasyonları arasında olası faylı dokanaklı bir ilişki belirlenmiş ancak daha önce ifade edilen bindirmeye ilişkin herhangi bir veriye rastlanmamıştır. This research has been carried out as a Master Thesis submitted to Süleyman Demirel University's Department of Geological Engineering. Its subject is the stratographic survey of the nannoplanktons of Tertiary units in southern Isparta, around Direkli Village and north of Akdağ. The geological map of the area has been prepared by the processes of the field survey, sattellite imaging and other definitions of mapping techniques, as well as by the stratigraphic results obtained through the inspection of the nannofossil records taken from the samples of small rock particles. The geological units within the area of survey are made of, from bottom up, the volcanites and piroclastites that are situated in Isparta Ophiolite Complex, Akdağ Limestone, Güneyce Formation, Gölcük Formation. As a result of the nannofossil definitions of the Tertiary aged Güneyce formation that is the subject of study, important findings have been obtained on the age of the formation and its environmental features. Based on the nannofossil data isolated on the transferred material from out of the field and within, the sedimentation is believed to have formed in Burdigaliyen and shallow seas. Moreover, the in-situ observations, stratigraphic results, Landsat images and three-dimensional topographic maps have been interpreted comparatively and changes have been made on the previously drawn geological maps and sections. As a result, a faulty relation has been established in between Akdağ Limestone and Güneyce Formation, but no data has been obtained to prove the previously mentioned.
