Sosyal ilişkilerin sosyal veekonomik hayattaki artan öneminin kavranmasıyla ilişkiler ve etkilerininaraştırılması gerekliliğini doğmuştur. Sosyal ve ekonomik işlemlerde ekonomikve fiziki sermayenin yanı sıra parasal olmayan beşeri, kültürel ve sosyal sermayetürleri de neo-klasik sermaye kuramları olarak kabul edilmiştir. Özellikleekonomik hayattaki ilişkilerde bilgi iletişim teknolojilerinin artması,bireylerin geçmiştekinden daha fazla bireyle ve doğal olarak daha zayıfbağlarla bağlantı kurması güven unsurunun aranmasına neden olmuştur. Belirtilengelişmeler 1990’lardan itibaren sosyal sermayeye katkıda bulunmuştur. Sosyalsermaye zamanla kapsamını genişletmiş ve farklı disiplinlerle çalışılabilirhale gelmiştir. Bu sermaye türü aynı zamanda yeni mikro kuramların doğmasını dasağlamıştır. Bu durum sosyal sermayenin özellikleri ve türleri bakımındançeşitlenmesine neden olmuştur. Bu çalışmada sosyal sermayenin bireysel vekolektif yönleri ve bu ayrımın özellikleri ele alınmaktadır. Sosyal sermayenin,diğer sermaye türlerinden farklılıklarına yer verilmektedir. Sosyal sermayenintarihsel süreçteki gelişimi yine bireysel ve kolektif yönleriyle harmanlanarakeleştirilerle birlikte değerlendirilmektedir. Bireylerin ilişkilerdeki konumunabağlı olarak değişen dayanışmacı ve aracı sosyal sermaye kavramlarıaçıklanmaktadır. Aynı zamanda bu sermaye türünün birey ve toplum açısındanolumsuz sonuçlarına değinilmektedir. |

There has been the need of research of relations andtheir effects due to growing importance of social relations in social andeconomic life. Alongside with the economic and physical capital, non-financialcapital types that are human, cultural and social capital accepted as theneo-classic capital theories in social and economic transactions. Particularly ineconomic relations, increase of information communication technologies, outnumberedinteractions of individuals with others and naturally excess weak ties in lifehave resulted in the quest of trust in the relations. Social capital theory hasbeen developed due to mentioned reasons since 1990s. By time, the theory’sscope has been expanded and studied in different academic fields. It has alsoproduced its own new micro theories. As a consequence, the characteristics and thetypes of social capital theory have been diversified. In this paper, theindividual and collective characteristics of social capital theory areassessed. The differences of social capital theory from other capital types arementioned. The historical development of the theory is explained along with thecritics and individual/collective characteristics. The bonding and bridgingsocial capital concepts, which are subjected to change based on theindividual’s positions in the relations, are clarified. The negative results onindividuals and society of this capital type are mentioned as well. |
