Özet: Eylül 2011-Şubat 2012 tarihleri arasında yapılan bu çalışmada Eğirdir Gölü'nün suyunda, sedimentinde ve gölde yaşayan sazan (Cyprinus carpio L., 1758)'ın kas, karaciğer ve solungaçlarındaki bazı ağır metallerin düzeylerinin belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Çalışma süresince göl suyunun bazı fiziko-kimyasal parametreleri ölçülmüştür. Suda yapılan analizler sonucunda Pb dışında tüm metaller tespit edilmiştir. Suda en fazla biriken metalin Mn, en az biriken metalin ise Cr olduğu belirlenmiştir. Sedimentte ve balık dokularında tüm metaller belirlenmiş ve sedimentte en fazla biriken metalin Fe, en az biriken metalin ise Cd olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Metallerin karaciğer dokusunda kas ve solungaca göre daha fazla birikim gösterdiği belirlenmiştir. Balıklardaki metal seviyeleri ile balıkların ağırlık ve boyları arasında genel olarak negatif bir ilişki olduğu belirlenmiştir. Balık dokularında tespit edilen metal düzeyleri Dünya Sağlık Örgütü,(WHO) Avrupa Birliği ve Türk Standartları Enstitüsü'nün balık dokuları için verdiği değerler ile kıyaslanarak balıkların besin olarak tüketilmesinde sakınca olup olmadığı belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Mn was the highest and Cr was the lowest in water. All of the metals were determined in sediment and fish tissues, and Fe was the highest and Cd was the lowest in sediment. The highest metal levels were found in liver compared with gill and muscle. Negative relationships were determined between metal levels in fish with fish weight and lenght. The metal levels which were detected in fish tissues was compared with acceptable levels for fish tissues given by World Health Organization(WHO), European Commission and Turkish Standart Institute and determined if there is a threat to use these fish as a food.
