Türkiye'de son seçim dönemlerinde görülmüştür ki iletişim teknolojileri ve siyaset alanında yaşanan gelişmeler farklı siyasi geçmişe ve geleneğe sahip siyasi partilerin ittifak etmelerine olanak sağlamıştır. Siyaset ve demokraside farklı kavram ve arayışlarının ortaya çıktığı bu dönemde siyasetin geleceğini doğru kavrayabilmek için Osmanlıdan günümüze Türk siyasi parti aileleri ve geleneklerinin gelişimini doğru şekilde ortaya koyabilmek, çalışmanın amacını oluşturmaktadır. Çalışmada literatür taraması yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Osmanlı İmparatorluğunun son yüz yılından başlanarak, günümüze kadar ortaya çıkan ve ülke genelinde geniş tabana ulaşan siyasi parti ailelerin incelenmesinde, yayınlanmış kitaplar, yüksek lisans ve doktora tezleri, bilimsel makaleler, dergi yayınları ve internet verileri kaynak olarak kullanılmıştır. Değişik partiler üzerine yapılmış bireysel çalışmalar veya belirli dönemler için yapılmış çalışmalar olmasına rağmen, Osmanlı'dan günümüze geniş bir yelpazeyi kapsayan bir çalışma bulunmaması sebebiyle çalışmanın literatüre önemli bir katkı sağlayacağı değerlendirilmektedir. In the recent electoral periods in Turkey, it has been seen that the communication technologies and developments in political sphere have enabled the political parties with different political backgrounds and traditions to ally. This study aims at demonstrating the development of Turkish political party families and their traditions from the Ottoman Period to the present to comprehend the future of politics in such a period where various concepts and quests emerge. The literature review method was used in the study. The published books, master's and doctoral theses, scientific articles, journal publications and Internet data were used as source in the examination of political party families which have appeared beginning from the last century of the Ottoman Empire until today and reached a wide base throughout the country. Although there are individual studies on diverse parties or studies for certain periods, this study is considered to provide a significant contribution to the literature due to the fact that there is no study covering a wide range from the Ottoman Empire to the present.
