<p><span style="color: rgb(34, 34, 34); font-family: Verdana, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10px; background-color: rgb(240, 245, 249);">Viyolasin, Gram-negatif bakteri Chromobacterium violaceum tarafından üretilen, anti-bakteriyel, anti-protozoal, anti-viral, anti-fungal, anti-oksidan ve anti-kanser aktivitelere sahip olan mor renkli doğal bir pigmenttir. Bu çalışmada viyolasin C. violaceum ATCC 12472 suşundan, mikrodalga ve ultrases uygulama yöntemleri kullanılarak ekstrakte edilmiştir. Ekstraksiyon için çözücü olarak metanol, etanol, aseton ve etil asetat kullanılmıştır. Ekstraktlar B. cereus ATCC 11778, S aureus ATCC 25923, S. aureus ATCC 43300 (MRSA) için antibakteriyel etki gösterdiği tespit edilmiştir. Ekstratların viyolasin miktarları Yüksek Performanslı Sıvı Kromatografi (HPLC) ile belirlenmiştir. Etanol ve metanol ekstratlarının HeLa hücreleri üzerinde güçlü sitotoksik etki gösterdikleri tespit edilmiştir.</span><br></p>
<p><span style="color: rgb(34, 34, 34); font-family: Verdana, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10px; background-color: rgb(240, 245, 249);">Violacein is a natural violet pigment from Gram-negative bacteria produced by Chromobacterium violaceum, which has an antibacterial, antiprotozoal, antiviral, antifungal, antioxidant and anti-cancer activity. In this study, violacein was extracted from C. violaceum ATCC 12472 strain using microwave and ultrasonic methods. Methanol, ethanol, acetone and ethyl acetate were used as solvents for extraction. The extracts were found to exert an antibacterial effect against B. cereus ATCC 11778, S. aureus ATCC 25923 and S. aureus ATCC 43300 (MRSA). Violacein amounts in the extracts were determined by high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). Ethanol and methanol extracts were revealed to have a strong cytotoxic effect on HeLa cells.</span><br></p>
