Çalışmada Kur'ân'ın müşriklere ve Ehl-i Kitab'a yönelik cedel faaliyeti incelenmiştir. Öncelikle cedel kavramının tanımı ve tarihsel süreçteki serencamı ele alınmış daha sonra Kur'ân'daki cedel faaliyetleri konu edilmiştir. Bu faaliyetler Kur'ân'ın bilgi kuramı ve bilgi hiyerarşisi; Kur'ân'da cedelin öznesi, cedelin psikolojik yönü ve evreleri açısından değerlendirilmiştir. Kur'ân'da cedel anlamına gelen ifadeler zikredilmiş ve münâzara ilmi açısından kullanılan cedel yöntemlerine yer verilmiştir. Çalışmanın ikinci bölümünde önce müşriklerin iddiaları ve talepleri zikredilmiştir. Dolayısıyla onların Allah'a, şirk inancına, ahirete, Kur'ân'a ve nübüvvete yönelik iddiaları ele alınmıştır. Yine onların mucizeye, vahye ve gayba dair bulundukları talepler zikredilmiştir. Daha sonra Kur'ân'ın bu iddialara ve taleplere yönelik cedel faaliyeti tetkik edilmiştir. İlgili tetkikler neticesinde Kur'ân'ın tartışılan konunun ve muhatabın durumuna göre izlediği cedel yöntemi açıklanmıştır. Bu bağlamda Kur'ân'ın müşriklere yönelik eleştirilerine de yer verilmiştir. Üçüncü bölümde Ehl-i Kitab'ın iddialarına ve taleplerine değinilmiştir. Ehl-i Kitabın Allah'a, meleklere, peygamberlere ve kendilerinin seçkin kullar oldukları yönündeki iddiaları incelenmiştir. Ehl-i Kitab'ın Hz. Peygamber'den ve kendi peygamberlerinden talepte bulunduğu meseleler konu edilmiştir. Diğer yandan Kur'ân'ın Ehl-i Kitab'a bakışı ve onlara yönelik eleştirileri genel hatlarıyla ele alınmıştır. Daha sonra Kur'ân'ın onların iddialarına ve taleplerine yönelik cevapları incelenmiş ve buradaki cedel faaliyetinin özellikleri ortaya koyulmuştur. Kur'ân'ın müşriklere ve Ehl-i Kitab'a yönelik cedel faaliyeti genel olarak bilgi meselesi odağında gerçekleşmiştir. Müşrikler özellikle gayba dair konularda bilgisizce konuştukları için tenkit edilirken; Ehl-i Kitap ise kendilerine verilen bilgiyle amel etmedikleri için eleştirilmiştir. In the study, the jadal (argumentation/dialectic) activity of the Qur'an against the polytheists and the People of the Book (ahl al-Kitab) was examined. First of all, the definition of the concept of jadal and its development in the historical process were mentioned, then the jadal activities in the Qur'an were analysed. These activities were investigated in terms of the Qur'an's theory and hierarchy of knowledge; the subject of jadal in the Qur'an, the psychological aspect and stages of argumentation of jadal. The expressions meaning jadal in the Qur'an were mentioned and the methods of jadal used in terms of debate art were included. In the second part of the study, firstly, the claims and demands of the polytheists were mentioned. Therefore, their claims about Allah, polytheism, the hereafter, the Qur'an and prophethood were discussed. Again, their demands regarding miracle, revelation and the invisible world were held. Afterwards, the Qur'an's activity against these claims and demands were examined. As a result of the relevant examinations, the method of jadal applied by the Qur'an according to the situation of the discussed subject and the addressee were explained. In this context, the criticisms of the Qur'an against the polytheists were also included. In the third chapter, the claims and demands of the People of the Book were given. Their claims about Allah, angels, prophets and that they are distinguished servants were analysed. The issues that the People of the Book demanded from the Prophet Muhammed (pbuh) and their own prophets were discussed. On the other hand, the Qur'an's view of the People of the Book and its criticisms againts them were discussed in general terms. Afterwards, the answers of the Qur'an to their claims and demands were examined and the characteristics of the jadal activity here were revealed. The jadal activity of the Qur'an againts the polytheists and the People of the Book has generally been focused on the issue of knowledge. While the polytheists were criticized for speaking ignorantly about the unseen, in particular; the People of the Book, on the other hand, were criticized for not acting on the information given to them.
