The concept of Wijsman convergence of a sequence of sets was defined using the pointwise convergence of the sequence of distance functions. Based on this idea, in this article, a new type of set convergence is obtained by using the concept of ideal α-convergence for the sequence of distance functions. Then it is shown that this new convergence is equivalent to the Wijsman convergence according to the specific choice of ideal. |
