Erk veya bir diğer ifadeyle güç kavramı, çok katmanlı anlamlar yığınını içinde barındırmasının yanı sıra özünde birtakım sorunsalları da beraberinde getirir. Bu nedenledir ki kavrama ilişkin ortak bir tanımdan söz etmek oldukça güçtür. Erk, insanoğlunun dünyaya ilk ayak bastığı andan itibaren devinimine başlamıştır. Pozitif bilimlerin yanı sıra beşerî bilimlerde de sürekli olarak sorunsallaştırılmakta ve bu, insanın var olduğu sürece tükenmeyecek bir döngüyü de beraberinde getirmektedir. Zira erk, toplumun her katmanına ve alanına sinmiş olup etkisini her durumda gösteren bir olgudur. Bu çalışmanın kapsamı da Alman yazar Uwe Timm’in 1978 yılında kaleme aldığı Morenga adlı romanında on beşinci yüzyılın son ve on altıncı yüzyılın ilk yarısında yaşamış İtalyan düşünür ve devlet adamı olan Machiavelli’nin güç kuramının izlerini sürmektir. Bu on beşinci yüzyıl temelli güç kuramının yirminci yüzyıl romanına uygulanabilirliği bize göstermiştir ki dönem ve yüzyıl fark etmeksizin gücün dünya üzerinde her daim kötüye kullanımı dinamik bir devinim içinde gezinmektedir. Söz konusu çalışmanın yöntemi ise yazınsal yapıtın tarihsel roman türüne girmesi ve güç olgusunun sosyolojik bağlamda ele alınması dolayısıyla tarihsel ve sosyolojik inceleme yöntemleridir. |

The concept of power, in addition to involving a multilayered mass of meanings, also brings along a number of problematics. For this reason, it is quite difficult to talk about a common definition of the concept. Power started its movement from the moment human beings first set foot on earth. It is constantly problematized in the humanities as well as in the positive sciences, and this brings along a cycle that will not end as long as human beings exist. This is because power is a phenomenon that permeates every layer and sphere of society and shows its influence in every situation. The scope of this study is to trace the power theory of Machiavelli, an Italian philosopher and statesman who lived in the last half of the fifteenth and the first half of the sixteenth-century, in the novel Morenga written by the German writer Uwe Timm in 1978. The applicability of this fifteenth-century-based theory of power to the twentieth-century novel has shown us that regardless of the period and century, the abuse of power in the world is always in dynamic motion. The method of the study in question is historical and sociological analysis methods since the literary work belongs to the historical novel genre and the phenomenon of power is handled in a sociological context. |
