<p>Pisidia Bölgesi’nin kuzeybatısında yer alan Erenler Tepe yerleşmesi, Seleukoslar Dönemi’nde kurulan koloni kentlerinden biri olan Apollonia Antik Kenti territoriumu içerisinde yer almaktadır. Apollonia Antik Kenti’ne ulaşan ana ve ara arter yolları kontrol altında tutan konumu, bölgede bilinen yol ve ticaret ağlarının güvenliğini sağlamak amacıyla kurulan kale yerleşimlerinden biri olduğunu göstermektedir. Yerleşimin etrafını çevreleyen sur hattı ve yerleşimin yüksek noktasına konumlandırılan kule yapısı da bu görüşü desteklemektedir. Buluntular, Erken Demir Çağı’nda başlayan yerleşimin Geç Hellenistik Dönem’e kadar devam ettiğini göstermektedir. Bu çalışmada ele alınan Erenler Tepe Yerleşmesi, bölgede varlığı bilinen ancak az sayıda çalışmaya konu olan kale yerleşmelerinden biri olması bakımından önem taşımaktadır.</p> |

<p>Erenler Tepe settlement, in the northwest of the Pisidia Region, is located within the territory of Apollonia, one of the Seleucid colonies in the region. The pottery found during the surveys suggest that the settlement, which started in the Early Iron Age, continued until the Late Hellenistic Period. The strategical location of this settlement allowed controlling the main and intermediate arterial roads leading to the Ancient City of Apollonia. There is a clear wall line surrounding the settlement and the tower structure positioned at the highest point of the settlement. This thus indicates that it is one of the fortified settlements that was established to ensure the safety of the road and the well-known trade networks in the north part of the region In this paper all the findings and evidence that show that Erenler Tepe settlement is one of the rarely examined fortified settlements will be presented and discussed in detail.</p> |
