dc.description This study aims to examine the impact of the Global Technological Outage on July 19, 2024, on the tourism industry. The study employs a two-stage methodology: first, analyzing tourism-related news on websites, and second, conducting interviews with tourism professionals to validate the findings. The results highlight the extensive outages caused by the outage, particularly in reservation systems, customer communication, and operational management within the tourism sector. The study underscores the importance of developing robust, adaptable strategies to mitigate the effects of technological dependencies and outages, providing critical insights for future business continuity planning in the tourism industry.
