<p>Dental Implants: Elderly Patients and HolisticApproachThe increase in the elderly population in ourcountry and in the world population has increasedthe importance of preventive and therapeuticdentistry practices for this population. Dentalimplants, whose application prevalence isincreasing, are emerging as an alternative toclassical methods, especially in elderly individuals,not only functionally but also aesthetically andpsychosomatically. In dental implant applications inthe elderly, as in any age, many factors such as thesystemic health of the individual, the medicationsused, the current dentition status, the structureof the mandibular and maxillary alveolar boneand their relationship with each other shouldbe taken into consideration.
