Aile, toplumun en küçük yapı taşı olan, fert ve toplum için kendisinde taşıdığı fonksiyonlar sebebiyle yeri doldurulamaz ve alternatifi olmayan bir müessesedir. Aile kavramını bu denli önemli kılan ise neslin korunması ve eğitilmesi faaliyetlerini bünyesinde taşımasıdır. Neslin eğitilme süreci ailede başlamakta ve bireyin kalıtımsal yönden sahip olduğu özelliklerini ne kadar geliştireceği, nasıl şekillendireceği gibi pek çok değişken aile ortamındaki tecrübelerinin bir yansıması olmaktadır. İlk ve temel öğrenmelerin çocukluk döneminde gerçekleşmesi ise ailede verilen eğitimin önemini artırmaktadır. Bu bilgilerden hareketle bu çalışmada eğitim alanının bir parçası olan din eğitimi biliminin alt birimlerinden ailede din eğitimi konusu ele alınmıştır. Bu eğitimin ise çocuğun hayatında doğru şekilde yer etmesi, verimlilik ve ileriki döneme aktarma anlamlarını bünyesinde barındıran sürdürülebilirlik kavramı üzerinden şekillenmiştir. Sürdürülebilirlik kavramının daimî olma kapasitesi şeklindeki tanımından hareketle ailede verilen din eğitiminin bireyin yaşamının ileriki dönemlerinde sürdürülebilirliği araştırılmaktadır. Bu noktada çalışma nitel veri toplama araçlarından mülakat tekniğiyle yapılmıştır. Örneklem grubu ise üniversitede yüksek öğrenim gören gönüllü 35 kişiden oluşmaktadır. Çalışmadan elde edilen bulgulara göre ailede din eğitiminin sürdürülebilirliği için ailelerin uygulaması ve dikkat etmesi gereken ön koşullara, ilkelere ve yöntemlere ulaşılmıştır. Bu unsurların her birine çalışmada detaylı olarak yer verilmiştir. Ayrıca ailede verilen din eğitimin bireyin hayatında önemli bir etkiye sahip olduğu tespit edilmiştir. The family, which is the smallest building block of the society, is an irreplaceable institution with no alternative due to the functions it carries for the individual and the society. What makes the concept of family so important is that it carries the activities of protecting and educating the generation. The process of educating the generation begins in the family, and many variables, such as how much the individual will develop and shape his hereditary characteristics, are a reflection of his experiences in the family environment. The fact that primary and basic learning takes place in childhood increases the importance of education given in the family. Based on this information, in this study, the subject of religious education in the family, which is one of the subunits of the science of religious education, which is a part of the field of education, is discussed. The correct placement of this education in the life of the child has been shaped by the concept of sustainability, which includes the meanings of efficiency and transfer to the future. Based on the definition that the concept of sustainability should be permanent, the sustainability of the religious education given in the family in the future periods of the individual's life is investigated. At this point, the study was conducted with the interview technique, one of the qualitative data collection tools. The sample group consists of 35 volunteer postgraduates who are currently studying at the university. According to the findings obtained from the study, the preconditions, principles and methods that families should apply and pay attention to for the sustainability of religious education in the family have been reached. Each of these elements is given in detail in the study. In addition, it has been determined that the religious education given in the family has an important effect on the life of the individual.
