Çocuk edebiyatı, çocukluk çağını ve bu çağın özelliklerini anlamada önemli bir rehberdir. Çocukların gelişiminde etkili ve olumlu izleri bulunan bu edebiyat türü Batı'daki akımlarla beraber çocuklara farklı kültürleri aşılamanın yanı sıra onların dilsel, zihinsel, psikolojik ve estetik ihtiyaçlarını da karşılar. Çalışmamız bu noktadan hareketle çocuk edebiyatının tarihî sürecini incelemekte, şiir veya nesir halinde çocuklara yönelik edebiyat çerçevesinde kullanılan çeşitli kavramları açıklamaya çalışmaktadır. Ayrıca çocuğun kişiliğini şekillendirmeye ve korumaya yardımcı olan bu edebiyat türünün önemi, değeri ve hedeflerini de ele almaktadır. Çalışmada Lübnanlı yazar Târık el-Bekrî'nin çocuk edebiyatının gelişmesinde çalışmalarının, katkılarının, projelerinin ve görüşlerinin önemi incelenmiştir. Fabl türü hikayelerinin tahlili ve çocuklara eğitsel değerleri aşılayabilmek için hayvanları nasıl kullandığı, yöntemi, üslubu ve öykülerinde edebi boyutları kullanışı ele alınmıştır. Çalışmada bunlara ek olarak çocuk edebiyatının yaygınlaştırılması ve sorunlarının giderilmesi için bazı öneriler de sunulmaktadır. When there is an urgent need to understand childhood and its characteristics, children's literature was the best guide, serving the childhood stage effectively and positively, and spreading the original culture in children in a time of many Western currents, it meets their linguistic, mental and aesthetic needs. Based on this vision, this research was completed, which tried to trace the historical context of the emergence of children's literature, and clarify its multiple concepts that do not go beyond being artistic literature directed to children in the form of poetry or prose, and then indicate the importance of this literature, and its intrinsic value in the ways presented to the child, which participates in building the child's personality and maintaining its balance, achieving the goals of children's literature. Then the research deals with the works of the Lebanese writer Tariq Al-Bakri, and shows the importance of his contributions, projects and opinions in the advancement of children's literature, with the analysis of his stories about animals, and his use of them in spreading educational values in the psyche of children, and his linguistic and stylistic approach, and his use of literary dimensions in writing his stories, then presents Research some proposals in order to promote children's literature and remedy its problems.
