Arap dili, cem ve tedvin edilme sürecinde farklı dönemlerden geçerek kelimelerin belirli bir yöntemle sözlük adı verilen eserlerde bir araya getirilmesi aşamasına gelmiştir. Farklı yöntemlerle çeşitli sözlükler yazılmıştır. Klasik dönem sözlük yazımı Halîl b. Ahmed'in (ö. 170) Kitâbu'l-'Ayn isimli eseriyle başlamış ez-Zebîdî'nin (ö. 1205) Tâcu'l-'Arûs'u yazmasına kadar devam etmiştir. Bu süreç içerisinde klasik Arapça sözlüklerde birtakım problemlerin ortaya çıkması doğaldır. Bir sorun tespit edilmediğinde diğer birçok hataya ve soruna neden olacağı için önce bu problemlerin teşhis edilmesi ve daha sonra çözüm yollarının aranması gerekir. Bu çalışma ilgili problemleri ele almıştır. Çünkü söz konusu problemler klasik Arapça sözlüklerin ortak sorunudur ve Arapça'nın doğru anlaşılmasında etkisi vardır. Klasik Arapça sözlüklerdeki önemli sorunlardan biri sözlüklerde, Arapça'da kullanıldığı halde sözlük yazarlarının doğruluğunu bilmediği birçok kelimenin bulunmasıdır. Ayrıca bazı sözlük sahiplerinin mühmel olarak nitelediği, bazılarının ise Arap dilinde kullanıldığını düşündüğü pek çok kelimenin varlığıdır. Diğer bir sorun mu'arrab, dahîl ve müvelled kelimeler hakkındaki ihtilaflardır. Bu konuda kullanılan net bir ölçü yoktur. Ayrıca bunlara ek olarak çalışmada ele alınan diğer problemler bulunmaktadır. Söz konusu problemler tespit edildikten sonra yapılması gereken şey, çalışmada bahsedilen sorunlardan arındırılmış ve alfabetik sıraya göre düzenlenmiş yeni bir sözlük oluşturmaktır. The Arabic language went through different stages during collecting, then regıstration, then it reached the stage of collecting the words of the Arabic language in a book within a specific method called the Lexicon. Dictionaries were written within different methods; for example, Al-Khalil (170 AH) began lexical authoring and wrote the book "al-'Ayn". Arabic dictionaries continued to emerge until the lexical authorship settled with Al-Zubaidi (1205 AH) when he wrote his lexicon "Taj al-Arus". It is normal that problems appear in the old Arabic dictionaries; these problems need to be diagnosed and solved because neglecting the existence of a problem results in many mistakes and problems. This thesis focuses on these problems because they are common problems among all old Arabic dictionaries, and influence understanding of the Arabic language. The most important problems in the old dictionaries are as follows: The existence of many words in the dictionaries that the authors do not know whether these words are correct according to standard Arabic; while these words are right and used in the Arabic language. Moreover, there are many words that are considered abandoned by some lexicon authors while the same words are considered used by others. Finally, the problem of different terms, such as Arabized, borrowed, and neologism words; dictionaries do not have a precise measure to differentiate among these terms. Furthermore, this thesis studies some other problems. The solution to these problems, after defining them, is to create an Arabic dictionary and arrange its vocabularies according to the alphabetical order, because it is the simplest approach, and this dictionary must overcome all the problems mentioned in this thesis.
