Komplo teorileri veya anlatıları tarih boyunca var olmuştur. Komplo birine veya bir topluluğa zarar verme amacıyla gizli bir plan dahilinde gerçekleştirilen eylemleri ifade etmektedir. Komplo teorisi ise nedenleri tam olarak açık olmayan bazı olayların, komplo ile açıklanmasını ifade eder. Tarih boyu var olan komplo teorileri, içinde bulunulan çağın dinamiklerine göre şekillenmiştir. Bu çalışmada komplo teorileri modern toplumların temeli olarak kabul edilen bilim ve teknolojinin gelişimsel tarihiyle ilişkilendirilmiştir. Teknolojinin gündelik hayatın neredeyse tamamını kuşatması, bir yandan insan hayatını kolaylaştırırken diğer yandan insanları ve toplumsal organizasyonları denetim ve gözetim altında tutması, belirsizlik ve risk içeren durumlara sebep olması toplumsal sistemleri daha karmaşık hale getirmiştir. Giderek karmaşıklaşan, belirsizlik ve risk içeren durumlara karşı komplo teorilerinin meydana çıkması kaçınılmazdır. Teknoloji temalı komplo teorileri bu karmaşıklığı anlamak, açıklamak ve üzerinde kontrol sahibi olma amacıyla oluşturulan anlatılar olarak kabul edilmiştir. Bu çalışmanın odak noktasını teknoloji temalı komplo teorileri oluşturmaktadır. Günümüzde internetin gelişmesiyle kullanıcılara yeni bir etkileşim ve sosyalizasyon sağlayan sosyal medya platformları, komplo teorilerinin oluştuğu ve dolaşıma girdiği ana mekânlardan biri haline gelmiştir. Bu çalışmada Twitter üzerinden dolaşıma giren teknoloji temalı komplo teorileri, seçilmiş 1000 tweet üzerinden incelenmiş, tweetler içerik ve söylem analizi yöntemiyle analiz edilmiştir. Analiz sonucu altı ana tema belirlenmiştir. Teknoloji temalı komplo teorilerinin Twitter aracılığıyla nasıl bir etkileşim alanı oluşturduğu, spesifik olarak teknolojinin hangi alt alanlarına yönelik olduğu, fail olarak kimlerin gösterildiği, işlevsel boyutları, risk algıları ve komplo teorilerinin hangi bağlamlarda nasıl inşa edildiği sosyolojik olarak tartışılmıştır. Conspiracy theories or narratives have existed throughout history. Conspiracy refers to actions taken with a covert plan to harm someone or a community. Conspiracy theory, on the other hand, refers to the explanation of some events, the reasons of which are not fully clear, with conspiracy. Conspiracy theories that have existed throughout history have been shaped according to the dynamics of the current era. In this study, conspiracy theories are associated with the developmental history of science and technology, which is accepted as the basis of modern societies. The fact that technology encompasses almost all of the daily life, while facilitating human life on the one hand, keeps people and social organizations under control and surveillance, and causes uncertainty and risky situations, has made social systems more complex. It is inevitable for conspiracy theories to emerge against increasingly complex, uncertain and risky situations. Technology-themed conspiracy theories have been accepted as narratives created to understand, explain and have control over this complexity. The focus of this study is technology-themed conspiracy theories. Today, with the development of the internet, social media platforms, which provide a new interaction and socialization to users, have become one of the main places where conspiracy theories are formed and circulated. In this study, technology-themed conspiracy theories circulating on Twitter were examined over 1000 selected tweets, and tweets were analyzed by content and discourse analysis method. It has been discussed sociologically how technology-themed conspiracy theories create an interaction space through Twitter, specifically to which sub-fields of technology, who is shown as the perpetrator, their functional dimensions, risk perceptions and how conspiracy theories are constructed in which contexts.
