Amaç: Bu çalışmada EVLA tedavisinin, venöz geri dolum zamanı üzerine etkisinin fotopletismografik olarak belirlenmesini amaçladık. Materyal ve Metod: Semptomatik safen ven yetmezliği tespit edilen, 33 hasta çalışmaya dahil edildi. 51 alt ekstremiteye EVLA ve eş zamanlı skleroterapi tedavisi uygulandı. İşlem öncesinde ve postoperatif 3. ayda, hasta memnuniyetini belirlemek amacıyla vizüel analog skala (VAS) skorlaması yapıldı. Venöz geri dolum zamanını değerlendirmek üzere preoperatif 1 saat önce, postoperatif 1. ay ve postoperatif 3. Ay fotopletismografi (PPG) ile hastalar takip edildi. Sonuçlar: Bazal PPG değerlerine göre postoperatif 1. aydaki artış 8.90ł3.20, postoperatif 3. aydaki artış 17.98ł4.00, postoperatif 1. aya göre postoperatif 3. aydaki artış 9.08ł3.10 düzeyinde ve zamana bağlı artışların hepside istatistiksel olarak anlamlıydı. Aynı zamanda VAS skalasında da anlamlı bir şekilde azalma izlendi. Yani hasta memnuniyeti yüksekti. Tartışma: Evla tedavisi sadece anatomik bir düzelme sağlamamakta, aynı zamanda alt ekstremite venöz fonksiyonlarında da belirgin bir düzelme sağlamaktadır. Bu düzelme postoperatif 1. ay içinde bile belirgin bir şekilde olmuş ve postoperatif 3. ayda da devam etmektedir. Purpose: The purpose of this study, effect of Evla treatment on venous refilling time and photoplethysmographic assessment. Material and Methods: 33 patients were examined with symptomatic saphenous vein insufficiency and were enrolled for this study. 51 lower extremities were treated with Evla and simultaneously sclerotherapy. The patient satisfaction visual analog scales (Vas) were scored in order to determine patient satisfaction before the operation and postoperative 3 months. The patients were followed up to evaluate of venous refilling time with photoplethysmograhy (Ppg) preoperative 1 hour before and postoperative 1 month and postoperative 3 months. Results: According to Basal PPG values 8.90ł3.20 increased in postoperative 1. month, 17.98ł4.00 increased in postoperative 3. month. 9.08ł3.10 increased in postoperative 3. month considering that 1. month. All values increased were statistically significant on time-dependent. At the same time, scale of the Vas also showed a decrease signaficantly. In other words, higher patient satisfaction was showed. Conclusion: The treatment of Evla does not provide only anatomical recovery, also provides a significant recovery in lower extremity venous function.
