Bu çalışmada meyve suyu işleme atıklarından, mevsimsel olarak ortaya çıkan nar atıklarının, (NA) sığır gübresi (SG), tavuk gübresi (TG) ve saman (S) ile birlikte kompostlaştırılabilme potansiyeli araştırılmıştır. Kompostlaştırma işlemi laboratuvar ölçekli 100 l'lik 15 adet reaktörde 3 tekerrürlü olarak 35 gün süreyle gerçekleştirilmiştir. Kompost karışımları sabit karbon/azot oranında (C/N:25/1) ve değişken serbest hava boşluğu (SHB) (%24, 28, 32, 36, 40) oranlarında hazırlanmıştır. Kompostlaştırma prosesi boyunca reaktörlerin sıcaklık ve havalandırma parametreleri otomasyon sistemi ile kontrol edilmiştir. Proses süresince karıştırma işlemleri sırasında homojen örnekler alınarak fiziksel ve kimyasal analizler yapılmıştır. Kompost karışımlarının proses sonu su muhtevası (SM) değerleri %62,6-66,3, organik madde (OM) değerleri %70,4-74,1, pH değerleri 8,19-8,46, elektriksel iletkenlik (EC) değerlerinin 3,36-5,06 dS/m ve C/N oranlarının ise 12,4-13,6 aralığında olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Nar kompostu karışımlarının sıcaklıkları ilk günün sonunda 60 °C'ye ulaşmış ve ardışık 3 günden fazla 55 °C'nin üzerinde devam etmiştir. Kompost karışımlarının lignoselülozik analizlerinde en çok değişim SHB oranının %40 olduğu K5 karışımında lignin ve selüloz değerlerinde sırasıyla %11,1 ve %17,1 olarak gerçekleşmiştir. Karbondioksit-karbon (hesaplanan) verileri esas alınarak kinetik analiz yapılmış olup K5 karışımında birinci-sıfırıncı ve birinci-birinci derece kinetik modelde hızlı ayrışma katsayısı (kR) sırasıyla 0,261 gün-1 ve 0,273 gün-1 olarak hesaplanmıştır. Elde edilen nar kompostu karışımları Eisenia fetida türünde solucan kullanılarak kompostlamaya tabi tutulmuştur. Solucan kompostlamada solucan çoğalması en fazla 2563 adet ile K4 karışımında meydana gelmiştir. En çok kütle ve hacim kaybı solucan sayısının en fazla arttığı K4 karışımında sırasıyla %13,5 ve %24,0 olarak gerçekleşmiştir. Karışımların çimlenme indeksi (Çİ) değerleri kompost dozunun azalmasına paralel olarak artış göstermiştir. Kompostlar üzerinde NPK'lı (7-7-7) organomineral zenginleştirme yapılarak zenginleştirilmiş kompost elde edilmiştir. Kompostların bitki gelişimi üzerine etkisini belirlemek amacıyla üç farklı dozda (100, 200, 400 kg/da) mısır tohumu ile saksı uygulaması yapılmıştır. Saksı denemesinde maksimum mısır gelişimlerine (39,2 cm boy uzunluğu; 20,8 g gövde ve 17,8 g kök ağırlığı), 400 kg/da dozun uygulandığı zenginleştirilmiş solucan kompostunda (ZSK) ulaşılmıştır. In this study, the composting potential of seasonally generated pomegranate wastes from fruit juice processing wastes (PW) with cattle manure (CM), poultry manure (PM) and straw (S) was investigated. The composting process was carried out in 15 laboratory scale 100 l reactors with 3 replications for 35 days. Compost mixes were prepared at fixed carbon/nitrogen ratio (C/N:25/1) and variable free air space (FAS) (%24, 28, 32, 36, 40) ratios. During the composting process, the temperature and ventilation parameters of the reactors were controlled by the automation system. The mixing process during the composting, homogeneous samples were taken and physical and chemical analyzes were carried out. The end of process of compost mixtures, moisture content (MC) values are 62.6%, 66.3%, organic matter (OM) values are 70.4-74.1%, pH values are 8.19-8.46, electrical conductivity (EC) values were found to be in the range of 3.36-5.06 dS/m and C/N ratios were in the range of 12.4-13.6. The temperatures of the pomegranate compost mixtures reached 60 °C at the end of the first day and remained above 55 °C for more than 3 consecutive days. In the lignocellulosic analyzes of the compost mixtures, the highest change was observed in the lignin and cellulose values of 11.1% and 17.1%, respectively, in the K5 mixture, where the FAS ratio was 40%. Kinetic analysis was made on the basis of carbon dioxide-carbon (calculated) data, and the rapid degradation coefficient (kR) was calculated as 0.261 day-1 and 0.273 day-1, respectively, in the first-zero and first-first order kinetic model in the K5 mixture. The production pomegranate compost mixtures were subjected to composting using worms of the Eisenia fetida species. In vermicomposting, the increase in the number of worms occurred at the highest with 2563 in the K4 mixture. The highest mass and volume loss were 13.5% and 24.0%, respectively, in the K4 mixture, where the number of worms increased the most. The mixture's germination index (GI) values increased in parallel with the decrease in the compost dose. Enriched compost was obtained by making organomineral enrichment with NPK (7-7-7) on the composts. In order to determine the effect of composts on plant growth with three different doses (100, 200, 400 kg/da) of corn seeds were applied in pots. Maximum corn growth (39.2 cm height; 20.8 g stem and 17.8 g root weight) in the pot experiment was reached in enriched vermicompost (EVC) at a dose of 400 kg/da.
