Bu tez çalışmasında kırık-çatlak sistemleri epoksi ile tamir edilmiş bej örnekleri, ham, herhangi bir tamir işlemi uygulanmamış bej örnekleri ve kırık çatlak içermeyen sağlam bej örneklerinin fiziksel ve mekanik özellikleri teknik açıdan incelenmiştir. Bu çalışma kapsamında aynı bloktan yapısal özellikleri hemen hemen aynı olan numuneler (kırık-çatlak ve doku özellikleri) alınarak 5 gruba ayrılmıştır. 1. gruba ait numuneler hiçbir işleme tabii tutulmayan kırık çatlak içeren (ham), 2. grup numuneler epoksi uygulanmış ve atmosfer şartlarında doğal kurumaya (DK) bırakılmıştır. 3, 4 ve 5. gruptaki numunelerde epoksi uygulaması yapılarak tünel (IR), katlı fırın (KF) ve mikro dalga (MD) fırınlarda kurutulmuştur. Sağlam numune (kırık-çatlak içermeyen), epoksi uygulanmayan ve epoksi uygulaması yapılarak farklı ortamlarda kurumaya bırakılmış numunelerin birim hacim ağırlık, atmosfer basıncında ağırlıkça ve hacimce su emme (görünür porozite) oranları, sismik hız, tek eksenli basınç dayanımı, üç nokta eğilme dayanım, taramalı elektron mikroskobu (SEM) ve termodinamik analizleri yapılarak, doğal taş örneklerindeki değişimler tespit edilmiştir. Yapılan deneyler, incelemeler ve analizler sonucunda bej doğal taşların ağırlıkça ve hacimce su emme değerleri incelendiğinde, epoksinin kayda değer oranda kırık-çatlakları doldurduğunu, ağırlıkça ve hacimce su oranlarının 3-4 kat (yaklaşık %67-75) azaldığı görülmüş olup DK yönteminin daha iyi olduğu sonucuna varılmıştır. Epoksi uygulanmış kayaçların sismik hız değerlerinde ise, KF ve DK kurumada yaklaşık % 4 oranında, diğer kurutma yöntemlerinde ise yaklaşık % 3 oranında iyileşme olduğu belirlenmiştir. Epoksi uygulaması ile bej doğal taşların tek eksenli basınç dayanımı değerlerinde IR kurutmada % 11, KF kurutmada % 17, MD kurutmada % 23 ve DK kurumada ise % 25, 3 nokta eğilme dayanım değerlerinde ise, IR kurutmada %56, MD kurutmada % 79, DK kurumada % 86 ve KF kurutmada ise % 93 oranlarında dayanım artışı olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Elde edilen deneysel verilere ve termodinamik analizlere göre epoksi uygulanmış bej doğal taşların daha sağlam ve dayanaklı olduğu en uygun kurutma türünün ise KF ve DK kuruma olduğu belirlenmiştir. In this thesis, the physical and mechanical properties of beige natural stone samples whose cracked systems were repaired with epoxy, untreated beige samples and intact beige samples without cracks were investigated. Within the scope of this study, samples with almost the same structural properties (crack systems and textures) were obtained from the same block and divided into 5 groups. The samples belonging to the 1st group were not applied to any treatment (raw), the 2nd group samples were epoxy applied and dried under atmospheric conditions. The samples in groups 3, 4 and 5 were dried in tunnel oven (IR), storehouses oven (KF), and microwave (MD) by applying epoxy. The changes in the natural stone samples of intact samples, treated and untreated samples with epoxy in different drying conditions were determined by performed the unit volume weight, water absorption at atmospheric pressure tests (ASE), open porosity (HSE), p-wave velocity, Uniaxial compressive strength, 3-point flexural strength, SEM and thermodynamic analyzes. When the ASE and HSE values of beige natural stones were examined as a result of the experiments and analyzes, it was seen that the epoxy filled the cracks at a remarkable rate, the ASE and HSE ratios were reduced by 3-4 times (67-75%), and it was concluded that the DK method was better according to ASE and HSE results. In the seismic velocity values of the epoxy-treated rocks, it was determined that there was an improvement of approximately 4% in KF and DK drying, and approximately 3% in other drying methods. With epoxy application, it was determined that there was an increase in strength at the rate of the UCS values of beige natural stones are 11% in IR drying, 17% in KF drying, 23% in MD drying and 25% in DK drying, and at 3-point flexural strength values, 56% in IR drying, 79% in MD drying, 86% in DK drying and 93% in KF drying. According to the experimental data and thermodynamic analyzes, it was determined that epoxy-treated beige natural stones are more strong and durable, and the most suitable drying type is KF and DK drying.
