Barınma geçmişte de günümüzde de insanın öncelikli olarak sağlamaya çalıştığı en birincil fenomendir. İnsan kendisini güvende hissedebileceği, belirli konfor koşullarını sağlayabilen sağlıklı mekânlara ihtiyaç duyar ve bu ihtiyacını karşılayabilmek amacıyla yapılar inşa eder. Başlangıçta olumsuz çevre şartlarından korunmak amacıyla çevreden sağlanan malzemeler ile inşa edilmiş olan barınma birimleri ilerleyen zaman içerisinde farklı ihtiyaçlara cevap vermek amaçlarını da taşımaya başlamışlardır. Bulunduğu ortamı kendileştirme isteği, ihtiyaç kalıplarının herkes için aynı şeyleri ifade etmemesi, sosyo-kültürel ve ekonomik parametreler, iklimsel koşullar gibi faktörler mekânsal değişimin itici gücü olmuştur. Kimi zaman bu değişim karşılaşılan ani olaylar sonucunda mecburi olarak gerçekleşmektedir. Türkiye her yıl hasara sebep olan çok sayıda afetle karşılaşmakta can ve mal kayıpları yaşamaktadır. Günümüz koşullarında klimatik ve yer kökenli afetlerin artışı göz önüne alındığında bu hasarın her geçen yıl arttığı gözlenmektedir. Yaşanan afetler sonucunda sağlıklı olarak yaşamlarını devam ettiremeyecekleri durum, afetzedelerin yeni barınma yerlerine ihtiyacını da beraberinde getirmektedir. Yaşanan olumsuzluktan hem fiziki hem de sosyal olarak etkilenen bu topluğun birincil ihtiyacı haline gelen barınabilecekleri yerlerin sağlanabilmesi için devlet tarafından geçici ve kalıcı konut yardımları yapılmaktadır. Ancak çoğu zaman afet sonrası barınma ihtiyacının giderilmesi aşamasında aksaklıklar yaşanmakta ve sağlanan hizmetlerin kullanıcılar tarafından reddedilmesi ciddi derecede maddi kayıp yaşanmasına sebep olmaktadır. Yaşanılan ani değişim afetzedelerin yeni yerleşimlerini kabulünü zorlaştırırken bölge halkının yaşantılarına uygun tasarım önerilerin getirilmemesi; ilerleyen dönemlerde konutların benimsenmemesi, hak sahiplerinin bölgeye taşınmasının gecikmesi ve konutların zamanla değişim ve dönüşüme maruz kalmasına sebep olmaktadır. Bu durum devletin büyük kaynaklar harcayarak yaptığı sosyal yardımın amacına ulaşamamasına sebep olmaktadır. Yeni yerleşim yerlerine taşınma ve alışma sürecinde farklı zorluklarla karşılaşan, eski yaşadıkları bölgedeki düzenini arayan hak sahipleri, evleri kendi gereksinimlerine göre düzenleme yoluna gitmekte çevresel ve doğal koşulları da göz önüne alarak genelde tek tip olarak sunulan bu yapıları dönüştürmektedir. Yapıların geçirdikleri dönüşümün daha iyi anlaşılabilmesi ve bir sonraki afet sonrası barınma ihtiyacında daha kalıcı ve doğru uygulamalara ulaşabilmesine yardımcı olabilmek için çalışma kapsamında öncelikli olarak Türkiye'den ve dünyadan örnekler verilmiştir. Daha sonra afet sonrası barınma örneklerinden olan 1976 Denizli depremi sonrası yapılmış kalıcı deprem konutları özelinde incelemeler yapılmıştır. Belirlenen bölgede 500 prefabrik kalıcı konut olduğu bilgisine ulaşılmış ve alan çalışması için bölgede çalışmalara başlanmıştır. Yapılan çalışma sonucunda toplamda 50 kalıcı deprem konutu için alan çalışması yapılmıştır. Alan çalışmasında kalıcı deprem konutlarının geçirdikleri değişimler çizilerek mekânsal konfigürasyondaki benzerliklerin ortaya konulması amaçlı mekân sentaksı yönteminden faydalanılmıştır. Mekân sentaksı yöntemiyle yapılardaki değişiklikler incelenerek kullanıcıların konutları neden ve niçin dönüştürdükleri, dönüşümlerin benzerlik taşıyıp taşımadıkları, yapılan alan çalışması ve incelenen literatür ile birlikte ortaya konulmuştur. Bu bağlamda çalışmanın amacı mevcut durum memnuniyet analizi yapmaktan ziyade, 45 yıldır kullanılmasına istinaden, yaşanan değişimleri bir tespit çalışmasıyla ifade etmek ve bundan sonra yaşanacak değişimler için bir öneri ortaya koymaktır. Tezin sonuç kısmında elde edilen verilerden yola çıkarak hak sahiplerinin yaptıkları değişimlerdeki benzerlikler üzerinden değerlendirmelerde bulunulmuştur. Mekânsal değişikliklerde karşılaşılan benzerliklerin saptanarak ortaya konulmasının sonraki dönemlerde yapılacak uygulamalara veri oluşturmak, kullanıcıların ihtiyaç kalıplarını daha doğru belirlemek ve yaşanması muhtemel olumsuzlukları en aza indirmek açısından yararlı olacağı düşünülmektedir. People need healthy spaces where they can feel safe and can provide certain comfort conditions, and they build structures to meet this need. Accommodation units, which were initially built with materials provided from the environment in order to protect them from adverse environmental conditions, have started to carry the purpose of responding to different needs in the course of time. Factors such as the desire to own the environment, the need patterns do not mean the same things for everyone, socio-cultural and economic parameters, and climatic conditions have been the driving force of spatial change. Sometimes, this change takes place as a result of sudden events. Türkiye is faced with many disasters that cause damage every year and experiences loss of life and property. Considering the increase in climatic and ground-based disasters in today's conditions, it is observed that this damage is increasing every year. As a result of the disasters, the situation in which they cannot continue their lives in a healthy way brings the need for new shelters for the disaster victims. Temporary and permanent housing aids are provided by the state in order to provide shelter, which has become the primary need of this community, which has been affected by the negativity both physically and socially. However, most of the time, there are problems in meeting the post-disaster sheltering needs, and the rejection of the services provided by the users causes serious financial losses. While the sudden change made it difficult for the victims to accept their new settlements, the lack of design proposals suitable for the lives of the people of the region; In the following periods, the non-adopting of the houses causes the delay of the right holders to move to the region and causes the houses to be subject to change and transformation over time. This situation causes the social assistance provided by the state to spend huge resources to fail to reach its purpose. Encountering different difficulties in the process of moving to and adapting to new settlements, seeking the arrangement in the area where they lived, right holders choose to arrange the houses according to their own needs, and transform these structures, which are generally presented as a single type, taking into account the environmental and natural conditions. In order to better understand the transformation of buildings and to help them reach more permanent and correct applications in the next post-disaster sheltering need, primarily examples from Türkiye and the world are given within the scope of the study. Then, investigations were made on the permanent earthquake houses built after the 1976 Denizli earthquake, which is one of the examples of post-disaster sheltering. It has been learned that there are 500 prefabricated permanent houses in the determined area and work has been started in the region for field work. As a result of the study, a field study was carried out for 50 permanent earthquake houses in total. In the field study, the spatial syntax method was used in order to reveal the similarities in the spatial configuration by drawing the changes that the permanent earthquake houses went through. By examining the changes in the buildings with the space syntax method, why and why the users transform the houses, whether the transformations are similar or not, are revealed together with the field study and the literature examined. In this context, the aim of the study is to express the changes that have been experienced for 45 years, with a determination study, and to put forward a proposal for the changes to be experienced in the future, rather than making a current situation satisfaction analysis. Based on the data obtained in the conclusion part of the thesis, evaluations were made on the similarities in the changes made by the rights holders. It is thought that determining and revealing the similarities encountered in spatial changes will be useful in terms of creating data for the applications to be made in the following periods, determining the needs of the users more accurately and minimizing the possible negativities.
