Bu çalışmada amaç, özellikle endüstri birçok alanda kullanılan bağlantı elemanı olan çelik soketlerin ve çinko nikel metal kaplama sonrasında, hidrolik borulara bağlamak için uygulanan presleme işleminin, korozyon süresi üzerindeki etkisini tartışmak, preslenmeden önce ve preslendikten sonra parçaların korozyona uğrama sürelerini karşılaştırmaktır. Yapılan çalışmada, çinko nikel kaplanan soketlerin presleme işlemi sonrasında kaplamaya zarar verdiği, kaplama zarar gördüğü için soketlerin korozyona uğrama hızının arttığı ve korozyon süresinin kısaldığı gösterme hedeflenmiştir. Korozyon, proses ve otomotiv endüstrilerin de yapısal bozulmaya sebep olan en büyük sorunlardan biridir. Bu tehlikenin oluşabilmesini önlemek için ekipmana önleyici bir bariyer kaplaması yapılmaktadır. ZnNi alaşımı, yüksek korozyon direnci ve termal kararlılığı nedeniyle endüstride kullanılan en yaygın bariyer kaplamalardan biridir. Bariyer kaplamaların diğer örnekleri arasında ZnCo, Zn-Fe ve Zn Sn alaşımları bulunur. Bu alaşımlar, otomotiv ve havacılık parçaları, sıvı dağıtım boruları ve petrol ve gaz endüstrisinde ki valfler gibi çeşitli uygulamalarda kullanılmaktadır. Bu çalışmada; otomotiv sektöründe çok yaygın olarak kullanılan 5/8 çelik soketleri tambur kaplama prosesinde 0,3-3,0 A/dm² ve askı kaplama prosesinde 0,5-2,5 A/dm² akımla 15-20 µm kalınlığında, %13-15 Nikel oranında ZnNi elektrokimyasal kaplama yöntemiyle kaplanmıştır. TDSe göre proses banyoları kurulmuş ve 1 Amper/dm2 akımla Hull cell testi yapılmıştır. Çinko-nikel proses kaplama banyosunun içeriğindeki metalik çinko-nikel, kostik ve karbonat konsantrasyon değerleri için analizler yapılmıştır. ZnNi kaplanan çelik soketlerin yarısı Fınn Power presleme makinası ile kalıp olarak 26 tercih edilip presleme miktarı 27,9 olarak preslenmiştir. ASTM B117 şartnamesi prensibinde kurulan korozyon kabinine presli ve pressiz soketler aynı anda konulup, korozyon dayanım süreleri takip edilmiştir. Soketlerin tuz testi öncesi olan görselleri ve sonrası olan görselleri de alınarak görsel testleri gerçekleştirilmiştir. Elde edilen veriler literatürde olan diğer benzer çalışmalar ile kıyaslanmıştır ve çalışma ile benzerlikleri not alınmıştır. Sonuç olarak pressiz çelik soketlerin korozyona dayanımı ve presli soketlere oranla daha yüksek olduğu ve presleme işleminin ZnNi kaplamaya zarar verip kaplamada çatlak korozyonuna sebep olduğu tespit edilmiştir. The aim of the proposed this study is to discuss the effect of the pressing process applied to connect the hydraulic pipes, especially after zinc nickel metal plating of steel sockets, which are fasteners used in many areas of industry. In this study, the basic processes and knowledge of chemical engineering in the automotive industry are used. In the study to be done, it is aimed to show that the zinc nickel plated sockets damage the coating after the pressing process, the corrosion rate of the sockets increases and the corrosion time is shortened because the coating is damaged. Corrosion is one of the largest problems that cause structural deterioration in the process and automotive industries. In order to prevent this danger that may occur, a preventive barrier coating is applied to the equipment. Many Zn alloys such as Zn-Ni, Zn-Co, Zn-Fe, Zn-Sn are used in industry as examples of a barrier coating. Among these alloys, Zn-Ni alloy is the most widely used coating due to its high corrosion resistance and thermal stability. In this study, 5/8 steel sockets, which are widely used in the automotive industry, are 15-20 μm thick, 13%- It is coated with 15 nickel ZnNi electrochemical coating method. According to TDS, process baths were established and Hullcell test was carried out with 1 Ampere/dm2 current. Analyses' were made for metallic zinc-nickel, caustic and carbonate concentration values in the zincnickel process plating bath. Half of the ZnNi coated steel sockets were chosen as a mold with the Finn Power pressing machine 26 and the pressing amount was pressed as 27.9. Pressed and nonpressed sockets were placed in the corrosion cabinet established in accordance with the ASTM B117 specification principle, and the corrosion resistance times were monitored. Visual tests were carried out by taking the images of the sockets before and after the salt test. The data obtained were compared with other similar studies in the literature and the similarities with the study were noted. As a result, it has been proven that the corrosion resistance of unpressed steel sockets is higher than that of pressed sockets, and that the pressing process damages the ZnNi coating and causes crevice corrosion in the coating.
