Türkiye'de 1980 yılından itibaren uygulanan neoliberal politikalar, sermaye sahiplerinden alınan vergi payının düşürülmesi, kamu hizmetlerinin ve mallarının özelleştirilmesiyle çoğu alanda sermayenin daha fazla söz sahibi olmasını sağlamıştır. Bu politikalarla birlikte birçok alanda yeniden yapılanma ve dönüşüm süreçleri yaşanmıştır. Yatırım alanlarının kentler olduğu düşünülmüş ve kentler sürecin en etkin aracı olarak kabul edilmiştir. Bu nedenle kentlerdeki altyapı, ulaşım ve turizm gibi alanlara büyük yatırımlar yapılmış ve kentlerin ekonomik büyümesi hedeflenmiştir. Konya'nın önemli turizm mekânlarından olan Mevlâna Müzesi çevresi ile Sille Antik Kenti'nin bu değişim ve düzenlemelere maruz kalmasından dolayı çalışma alanı olarak seçilmiştir. Ortaya çıkan süreçleri anlamak ve sonuçlarını incelemek amacıyla çalışmada nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden fenomenoloji deseni kullanılmıştır. Verilerin toplanmasında amaçlı örneklemden yararlanılmıştır. Mevlâna Müzesi çevresinde ve Sille Antik Kenti'nde uzun yıllardır hizmet veren esnaflardan ve yerel halktan oluşan 20 kişiyle derinlemesine görüşmeler yapılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda elde edilen bulgular Lefebvre'nin üçlü mekânsal diyalektiği ve Marx'ın meta çözümlemesinden yola çıkılarak incelenmiştir. Katılımcılarla yapılan görüşmeler sonucunda bulgulara göre; katılımcıların uygulanan değişim ve dönüşüm projelerinde mekânların sit alanı ilan edilmesinden dolayı söz sahibi olamadıklarına, Mevlâna Müzesi ve çevresindeki dönüşüm süreçlerinin sürekli gündemde olması ve aynı zamanda belirsizlik içinde olmasına neden olmuştur. Yaşanan dönüşüm faaliyetleriyle birlikte mekâna yüklenen anlamlar değişmiştir. Mekânın sermaye olarak görülmesi ve önemli turist çekim merkezi olması kent imgesinde ve kimliğinde "Mevlâna" ögesinin meta olarak kullanılması metalaşmayı beraberinde getirmiştir. Sille Antik Kenti'nde ise mekânın yeniden üretimiyle birlikte yoğun bir ziyaretçiyle karşılaşan halk, oluşan gürültü ve kalabalıktan dolayı taşınmaya başlamıştır. The neoliberal policies implemented in Turkey since 1980 have enabled the capital to have a greater say in most areas, with the reduction of the share of taxes taken from the capital owners and the privatization of public services and goods. Along with these policies, restructuring and transformation processes have been experienced in many areas. It was thought that the investment areas were cities and cities were accepted as the most effective tool of the process. For this reason, large investments have been made in areas such as infrastructure, transportation and tourism in the cities and the economic growth of the cities has been targeted. Konya's important tourism Mevlâna Museum, which is one of the places of interest, and the ancient city of Sille have been chosen as the study area because of the exposure to these changes and regulations. In order to understand the emerging processes and examine their results, phenomenology design, one of the qualitative research methods, was used in the study. Purposive sampling was used to collect data. In-depth interviews were conducted with 20 people consisting of tradesmen and local people who have been serving for many years around the Mevlâna Museum and in the Ancient City of Sille. The findings obtained as a result of the research were examined on the basis of Lefebvre's triple spatial dialectic and Marx's meta analysis. According to the findings as a result of the interviews with the participants; The fact that the participants could not have a say in the applied change and transformation projects due to the declaration of the places as protected areas caused the transformation processes in and around the Mevlâna Museum to be constantly on the agenda and at the same time in uncertainty. With the transformation activities experienced, the meanings attributed to the space have changed. The fact that the place is seen as a capital and an important tourist attraction center, and the use of the "Mevlâna" element in the image and identity of the city has brought commodification. In the Ancient City of Sille, on the other hand, with the reproduction of the place, the people, who encountered a large number of visitors, started to move due to the noise and crowd.
