Bu çalışmada Seyyid Veliyyü'd-din Gazi'ye ait olan menâkıbnâme üzerinde çalışma yapılan tek nüshanın, bilinen aksine orijinal nüsha olmadığı ve muhtasar olarak yazıldığı tespit edilmiştir. Eserde İslam tarihi, Türkiye Selçukluları, Batı Anadolu Beylikleri, Moğollar ve Osmanlı dönemi tarihiyle ilgili bilgiler yer almaktadır. Ayrıca Anadolu'da ilk Türk İslam fetihleri ve o dönemde Selçukluların önemli uç merkezlerinden biri olan Borgulu (Uluborlu) ve dolaylarının, Seyyid Veli Baba Zaviyesi'nin bulunduğu Uluğbey Köyü'nün tarihi hakkında da önemli bilgiler yer almaktadır. Eser yazılırken dönem ile ilgili ana kaynaklardan istifade edildiği anlaşılmaktadır. Bugün bilinmeyen eserlerden de söz edilmiştir. Çalışmamızda eserin müellifinin incelenmesi, nüshanın değerlendirilmesi, nüsha ile ilgili yapılan çalışmalar, daha önce nüshaya atıf yapılarak verilen ancak eserde bulunmayan tarihi konuların tenkidi verilmiştir. Hz. Adem'den itibaren Selçuklulara kadar İslam tarihi, Türkiye Selçuklu ve Beylikler dönemi ve Osmanlı tarihi ile ilgili konular sadeleştirme yoluna gidilmiştir. Tezimizde eserde verilen tarihi bilgilerin doğruluğu diğer kaynaklardan teyit edilerek ortaya konulmuştur. Günümüze kadar hiçbir eserde yer almayan sadece nüshada bulunan farklı tarihi bilgilerin tespiti yapılmıştır. In this study, it has been determined that the only known copy being studied on the hagiography (menâkıbnâme) of Seyyid Veliyyü'd-din Gazi is not the original copy, contrary to popular belief, and it is written in an abridged form. The work contains information about Islamic history, the Seljuk Turks, the Anatolian Beyliks, the Mongols, and the Ottoman period. It also includes significant information about the early Turkish Islamic conquests in Anatolia and the historical background of Borgulu (Uluborlu) and its surrounding areas, which were important frontier centers of the Seljuks and the location of Seyyid Veli Baba Zaviyesi in the village of Uluğbey. It is evident that the work utilized primary sources related to the period. Mention is also made of unknown works. In our study, an examination of the author of the work, evaluation of the copy, previous studies related to the copy, and a critique of historical subjects previously attributed to the copy but not found in the work are provided. The topics of Islamic history from Hz. Adam to the Seljuks, the Seljuk and Beyliks period in Turkey, and Ottoman history have been simplified. In our thesis, the accuracy of the historical information provided in the work has been verified by cross-referencing with other sources. The identification of distinct historical information found only in the copy and not appearing in any other work until the present day has been made.
