Mu'tezile kelamında adalet ilkesinin belirleyici niteliğine ilişkin hazırlanan bu tez giriş ve üç bölümden oluşmaktadır. Giriş kısmında genel çerçevesiyle Mu'tezile'nin kelamî yapılanmasından söz edilmiş ve adalet kavramının Mu'tezile kelamındaki kullanımına değinilmiştir. Birinci bölümde mu'tezilî tanrı tasavvurunun nasıl geliştiği öncelikle Tanrı'nın nitelikleri üzerinden ele alınmış devamında adalet ve diğer mu'tezilî ilkelerin bu tasavvurun oluşmasındaki yeri tespit edilmiştir. Bu bölümde adalet dinî, felsefî, siyasî ve sosyokültürel temelleriyle birlikte ele alınmış ayrıca adaletin tevhid ile ilişkisine ve usûl-i hamsedeki diğer üç ilkenin şekillenmesinde adaletin belirleyici niteliğine dikkat çekilmiştir. Tezin ilk bölümünde mu'tezilî adalet ilkesinin teorik zeminine yer verilirken ikinci bölümde bu zemin üzerinden ortaya çıkan pratik tartışmalara ilişkin mu'tezilî yaklaşımlardan bahsedilmiştir. Tanrı-alem ve Tanrı-insan ilişkisi bağlamında şekillenen kelamî problemlerin, Mu'tezile kelamında Tanrı'nın adaleti üzerinden izah edildiği görülmektedir. Mu'tezile'de Tanrı'nın yarattığı şeylerin iyi olarak değerlendirilmesi ve O'nun kötülükten tenzih edilmesi de adalet ilkesi ile açıklanmıştır. Yine insanın irade ve kudret sahibi olarak nitelenmesine ve fiillerini gerçekleştirmede özgür olarak tanımlanmasına ilişkin mu'tezilî tavır adalet ilkesi bağlamında ortaya çıkmıştır. Tezin üçüncü bölümünde ahiret tartışmalarına yer verilmiş, insanın sonuna ilişkin kelamî problemlerin Mu'tezile tarafından adil tanrı anlayışı ile izah edildiği görülmüştür. Kabir azabı, yeniden yaratma, hesap ve şefaat konuları ele alınmış ve bu konulara ilişkin adalet zemininde gelişen mu'tezilî yaklaşımlar belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca mu'tezilî kelamcıların cennet ve cehennemin yaratılması, sevap ve cezanın hak etmekle ilişkisi ve azabın ebedîliği problemine dair adalet üzerinden ortaya koyduğu yaklaşımlara yer verilmiştir. This thesis on the determinative nature of the principle of justice in Mu'tazilite theology consists of an introduction and three chapters. In the introduction, the theological structure of Mu'tazila was mentioned in general terms and the use of the concept of justice in Mu'tazilite theology was mentioned. In the first chapter, the development of the Muʿtazilite conception of God was first analysed through God's attributes, and then the place of justice and other Muʿtazilite principles in the formation of this conception was determined. In this chapter, justice is discussed together with its religious, philosophical, political and sociocultural foundations, and attention is drawn to the relationship of justice with tawhid and the determinative nature of justice in shaping the other three principles in the usul al-hams. In the first part of the thesis, the theoretical basis of the Mu'tazilite principle of justice is given, and in the second part, the Mu'tazilite approaches to the practical debates arising from this basis are mentioned. It is seen that the theological problems shaped in the context of the relationship between God and the world and God and human beings are explained through God's justice in Mu'tazilite theology. In Mu'tazila, the evaluation of God's creation as good and His exclusion of evil are also explained by the principle of justice. Again, the mu'tazilite attitude regarding the characterisation of human beings as having will and power and being free in the realisation of their actions emerged in the context of the principle of justice. In the third part of the thesis, the discussions on the hereafter were included, and it was seen that the theological problems related to the end of man were explained by the Mu'tazila with the understanding of a just God. The topics of the torment of the grave, re-creation, reckoning and intercession are discussed, and the mu'tazilite approaches to these issues developed on the basis of justice are determined. In addition, the approaches developed by Mu'tazilite theologians on the creation of heaven and hell, the relation of reward and punishment with deserving and the eternity of punishment through justice are included.
