İnsanoğlunun avcılık ve toplayıcılık yaptığı dönemde avın ve bereketin simgesi olmuş olan teke/keçi, yerleşik hayata geçilmesi ile birlikte de ilk evcilleştirilen hayvanlar arasında yer almıştır. Gerek besin değerinin yüksek olması gerekse de elde edilen ürünleriyle insanları her zaman etkilemiş ve insan yaşamının sürekliliğine katkı sağlamıştır. Betimlemelerinin görülmeye başlandığı Paleolitik Dönemlerden günümüze farklı coğrafyalarda ve kültürlerdeki sanatçılara ilham kaynağı olmuş olan teke, bu noktada çok farklı sanatlara da konu olmuştur. Bu sanatlar arasında taş eserler, kemik ve fildişi eserleri, antik mozaik döşemeler, metal eserler ile mitoloji, bunun dışında Geleneksel Türk Sanatlarındaki çini ve minyatür sanatı ile modern resim ve edebiyata da konu olmuştur. Ancak teke, en fazla Anadolu ve yakın coğrafyası olsun binlerce yıllık bir geleneği olan seramik sanatına konu olmuştur. Bu bağlamda prehistorik dönemlerden itibaren kesintisiz bir yerleşime sahne olan Göller Bölgesi'nin önemli bir bölümünü Teke Yöresi oluşturmaktadır. Arkeolojik dönemleri günümüze taşıyan çok önemli merkezlere ev sahipliği yapan bölgenin Isparta ve Burdur illeri özelindeki ören yerlerinde ortaya çıkarılmış olan başta seramik buluntular olmak üzere taş, metal ve kaya üstü resimlerde yörenin aynı zamanda simgesel hayvanı olan teke/keçinin betimlendiği örneklere rastlanılmaktadır. Sonuç olarak tekenin ilham kaynağı olduğu başta arkeolojik, etnografik ve modern sanat eserleri örnekler dâhilinde incelenmiş ve teke esaslı modern seramik uygulamaları elle şekillendirme yöntemi ile yapılmıştır. The goat, which became the symnol of hunting and fertility in the period when human beings were hunting and gathering, became one of the first domesticated animals with the transition to settled life. It has always affected people with its high nutritional value and its products and contributed to the continuity of human life. The goat, which has been a source of inspiration for artists in different geographies and culteres from the Neolithic Periods, when its descriptions began to be seen, has also been the subject of many different arts at this point. Among these arts, stone works, bone and ivory works, ancient floor mosaics, metal works and mythology have also been the subject of modern painting and literatüre with the art of tiles and miniatures in Traditional Turkish Arts. However, the goat has been the subject of ceramic art, which has a tradition of thousands of years, mostly in Anatolia and its near geography. At this point, Teke Region constitutes an important part of the Lakes Region, which has been the scene of an uninterrupted settlement since prehistoric times. Examples of goat, which is also a symbolic animal of the region are found in stone, metal and rock paintings, especially ceramic finds found in ruins in the Isparta and Burdur provinces of the region, which are home to very important centers that carry archaeological, etnographic and modern works of art that goat is the inspiration for have been examined within the examples and modern ceramic applications based on goat have been made by hand method.
