Doğal boyarmaddelerin kullanımı neredeyse insanlık tarihi kadar eski bir yöntemdir. İlk çağlarda yaşayan insanlar bizlere bu yöntemi öğretmişlerdir. Doğal boyarmaddeler günümüze kadar değişerek ve gelişerek varlığını devam ettirmiştir. Doğal boyarmaddelerin elde ediliş şekli eskiden doğal yollarla olurken zamanın ve çağın değişimiyle yapay bir şekle bürünmüştür. Sentetik boyaların ortaya çıkması doğal boyalara göre ulaşılabilirliği, düşük maliyeti, aynı renk tonlarının elde edilebilmesi, her an kolay ve bol miktarda bulunabilmesi sebebiyle doğal boyarmaddelere talep giderek azalmıştır. Sanayinin ilerlemesiyle doğal boyarmaddeler gün geçtikçe daha az kullanılmaktadır. Sanayi atıklarının ve sentetik boyarmaddelerin doğayı kirletmesi, alerjik ve kanserojen etkilerinin insan sağlığına, hayvanlara ve doğaya zararlı etkileri günden güne artmaktadır. Fakat doğal boyarmaddeler hiçbir zararlı madde içermemektedir. Bu sebeple kullanım alanlarının geliştirilerek gündelik yaşam içerisine daha fazla dahil edilmesi ve eski reçetelerin araştırılarak gün yüzüne çıkarılması sağlanmalıdır. Bu çalışmada Bodrum ve köylerinde dokunan halı ve kilim iplerinin boyanmasında en çok tercih edilen zeytin, ceviz, hayıt, nar, kızılçam ve mersin bitkilerinden elde edilen boyarmaddelerin ile, 4 farklı mordan türleri (şap, meşe palamudu, demir, meşe-şap) ve mordanlama yöntemleri kullanılarak organik pamuklu kumaşlar boyanmıştır. Bitkilerden elde edilen boyarmaddelerin organik pamuklu kumaş üzerine önce mordanlama sonra boyama yöntemiyle 6 bitkiden 24 ton elde edilmiştir. Yapılan deneyler sonucunda yaş sürtünmeye karşı renk haslık, kuru sürtünmeye karşı renk haslık testi ve 32 azo boyarmadde (insan sağlığına zararlı maddeler) testine tabii tutularak sonuçlar değerlendirilmiştir. Sonuçlar doğrultusunda bitki türlerine, kumaş testlerine ve mordan yöntemlerine göre grafik tablolama yöntemiyle gösterilmiştir. Ayrıca elde edilen numuneler bitki türlerine göre azo boyarmadde testi yapılarak sonuçları ölçülmüş ve elde edilen sonuçlar tablolar şeklinde verilmiştir. The use of natural dyestuffs is a method almost as old as human history. People who lived in the early ages taught us this method. Natural dyestuffs have continued to exist by changing and developing to the present day. The way of obtaining natural dyestuffs used to be by natural means, but with the change of time and age, it has taken on an artificial form. The demand for natural dyestuffs has gradually decreased due to the availability of synthetic dyes compared to natural dyes, their low cost, the fact that the same shades can be obtained, they can be easily and abundantly available at any time. With the progress of industry, natural dyestuffs are used less and less every day. The harmful effects of industrial wastes and synthetic dyestuffs on human health, animals and nature of pollution of nature, allergic and carcinogenic effects of industrial wastes and synthetic dyestuffs are increasing day by day. But natural dyestuffs do not contain any harmful substances. For this reason, it should be ensured that the areas of use are improved and included more in everyday life and that the old prescriptions are investigated and brought to the surface of the day. In this study, organic cotton fabrics were dyed using 4 different mordant types (alum, acorn, iron, oak-alum) and mordant methods with dyestuffs obtained from olive, walnut, hayit, pomegranate, red pine and myrtle plants, which are the most preferred for dyeing carpet and rug ropes woven in Bodrum and villages. 24 tons were obtained from 6 plants by first mordanting and then dyeing the dyes obtained from plants on organic cotton fabric. As a result of the experiments, the results were evaluated by subjected to age friction color fastness, dry friction color fastness test and 32 azo dyestuffs (substances harmful to human health) tests. According to the results, it is shown by graphical tabulation method according to plant species, fabric tests and mordant methods. In addition, the obtained samples were measured by azo dyestuff testing according to plant species and the results obtained were given in the form of tables.
