Sanat dışı nesneler özellikle 20. yüzyıl başlarında resim sanatında yer almaya başlamıştır. İlk uygulamalarda sanatçı resme doku ve çeşitlilik kazandırmayı amaçlasa da bu yüzyılda çıkan dünya savaşlarının insanlık üzerindeki etkisini ve endüstri alanındaki hızlı gelişimin maddeye yüklediği acımasızlığı ifade etmek için sanat dışı nesneler, sanatçılar tarafından tercih edilmiştir. Yaşanan bu sancılı süreç insanları ruhsal bir çöküntüye uğratmış olsa da, sanat alanında köklü yeniliklerin yaşanmasını sağlamıştır. Bununla birlikte endüstrinin gelişmesiyle hızlanan seri üretim ve buna bağlı olarak gelişen tüketim kültürü toplumsal yapıyı olumsuz yönde etkilemiştir. Seri üretimin yol açtığı tüketim çılgınlığı atık nesnelerin artışına sebep olmuştur. Atık nesnelerin artışı çevre kirliliğini de beraberinde getirmiştir. Ortaya çıkan bu olumsuzluklara karşı duyarsız kalamayan sanatçılar, yaşananlara dikkat çekmek için kullanıp atılan bu nesnelere çalışmalarında yer vererek insanlığı konu üzerinde düşünmeye teşvik etmiştir. Yapılan literatür taramasında atık nesnelerin sanat eserlerinde nasıl kullanıldığına dair incelemelerin yer aldığı araştırmalara rastlanmıştır. Ancak Türk Resim Sanatında metinlerarası yöntemlerden çıkışla sanat alanında da uygulama biçimi bulan ve postmodern sanat yöntemleri arasında anılan "yenidenüretim" uygulamaları çerçevesinde atık nesnelerin yer alma biçemlerine dair yeterli bilgi verilmediği; kolaj, asamblaj gibi yöntemler ile ilgili tanımlamaların dışında diğer yeniden üretim biçimleri arasında olan, alıntılama, yeniden resmetme, pastiş, parodi gibi yöntemsel tanımlamalara yer verilmediği görülmüştür. Bu doğrultuda tez çalışmasında, geri dönüşüm unsuru olan atık nesnelerin sanat eserlerinde var olma süreci ve Türk resim sanatında yeniden üretim bağlamında atık nesnelerin sanat eserlerinde kulanım biçimleri konu edinilmiştir. Ayrıca atık nesne kullanan tüm Türk sanatçıları ele alınmamış yalnızca yeniden üreten/yeniden resmeden sanatçıların eserleri ile sınırlandırılmıştır. Non-art objects started to take place in the art of painting, especially at the beginning of the 20th century. Although the artist aimed to add texture and diversity to the painting in the first applications, non-art objects were preferred by the artists in order to express the impact of the world wars that broke out in this century on humanity and the brutality of the rapid development in the industry. Despite the fact that this painful process has caused people to have a mental breakdown, it has led to radical innovations in the field of art. However, the mass production accelerated by the development of the industry and the consumption culture that developed accordingly affected the social structure negatively. Consumption frenzy caused by mass production has led to an increase in waste objects. The increase in waste objects has brought environmental pollution with it. The artists, who could not remain indifferent to these negativities, encouraged humanity to think on the subject by including these discarded objects in their works to draw attention to what happened. In the literature review, researches on how waste objects are used in works of art were found. However, within the framework of the "reproduction" practices, which are among the postmodern art methods, which have found a way of application in the field of art with the departure from intertextual methods in Turkish Painting Art, sufficient information is not given about the styles of the waste objects; Apart from the definitions related to methods such as collage and assemblage, it has been observed that methodological definitions such as quoting, repainting, pastiche, parody, which are among other forms of reproduction, are not included. In this direction, in the thesis study, the process of existence of waste objects, which are recycling elements, in works of art and the use of waste objects in works of art in the context of reproduction in Turkish painting art are discussed.
