İnsanlık tarihi kahramanların tarihidir. Tarih öncesi devirlerde efsanelerin ve mitlerin odağında duran kahramanın yolculuğu, tragedya ve trajik olan'da yeni bir serüvene evrilir. Mitlerin tanrısal figürleri, tragedyanın kurgusal dünyasında insana özgü özellikleriyle tanımlanmakla birlikte, tragedya kahramanı yüce insan olarak ele alınır. Tragedyanın Antik Yunan'daki toplumsal işlevinde kahramanın yüce konumu yanında ölçüyü kaçıran sıra dışı davranışları, onu sıradan insana yaklaştıran olumsuz özellikleri olarak ele alınır. Antik Yunan sonrası dönemlerde de toplumsal yapının değişimine koşullu olarak öne çıkan beklentiler, kahramanın değişimine yol açar. Kendisini kahramanda olmayan özelliklerle var eden, kökeni roman türüne dayandırılan anti-kahramanın tragedyadaki varlığını tespit edebilmek de kahramanın tipik ve sıra dışı özelliklerinin belirlenmesiyle mümkün olur. Dolayısıyla mitlerden başlayarak, kahramanın tragedyada geçirdiği evrimsel süreci takip eden bu çalışma, kahramanda varlık bulan tipik ve sıra dışı özellikleri ayrıştırarak saptamayı amaçlamaktadır. Bu nedenle, öncelikli olarak kahraman ve anti-kahramanın kavramsal çerçevesine yer verilmiştir. Tiyatroya kaynaklık eden mitlerde ve destanlarda kahramanın ortaya çıkışı ele alınmış; kahramanın tragedyadaki yeni işlevi, konumu ortaya konmuş; tipik ve sıra dışı özellikleri tespit edilmeye çalışılmıştır. Tarihsel sürecin gelişiminde tragedya kahramanının değişen yapısına odaklanılmış; 19. yüzyıla gelindiğinde ise roman türünde ortaya çıktığı kabul edilen anti-kahramanın kahramanla ilişkisi ve bu ilişkinin tragedyadaki yansımaları incelenmiş; böylece kahraman ve anti-kahramanın tiyatrodaki yolculuğu tarihsel bir süreç içinde değerlendirilmiştir. The history of humanity is the history of heroes. The hero's journey, which was at the center of legends and myths in prehistoric times, evolves into a new adventure in tragedy and tragic. While the divine figures of the myths are defined with their human characteristics in the fictional world of tragedy, the tragic hero is considered as the supreme human being. In the social function of tragedy in Ancient Greece, the hero's sublime position, as well as his extraordinary behaviors, are considered as negative features that bring him closer to ordinary people. Conditionally prominent expectations for the change of social structure in the post-Ancient Greek periods also lead to the change of the hero. Determining the existence of the anti-hero, whose origin is based on the novel genre, and who creates himself with features not found in the hero, in tragedy is possible by determining the typical and extraordinary characteristics of the hero. Therefore, starting from the myths and following the evolutionary process of the hero in a tragedy, this study aims to identify the typical and extraordinary features that exist in the hero by separating them. For this reason, primarily the conceptual framework of the hero and anti-hero is included. The emergence of the hero in the myths and epics that are the source of the theatre was discussed; the new function and position of the hero in the tragedy have been revealed; typical and unusual features were tried to be determined. In the development of the historical process, the changing structure of the tragic hero was focused; In the 19th century, the relationship of the anti-hero, which is accepted to have emerged in the genre of novel, with the hero and the reflections of this relationship in the tragedy were examined; thus, the journey of the hero and anti-hero in the theater was evaluated in a historical process.
