Aşk kavramı, çoğu toplumda ve dönemlerde resim sanatının konusu olmaktadır. Sanatçıların resimlerinde aşk, resmin tarihte binlerce yıl boyunca zihninde canlanan evli çiftler, kaçamak aşıklar veya romantik ilişkilere dair imgelemler izleyicileri, çiftlerin özel hayatlarını gözlemlemeyi farklı şekillerde ele alınıp işlenmektedir. Aşk anlayışının içinde bulunduğu toplumlarda ve dönemde farklılık göstermektedir. Bu nedenle aşk bazı toplumlarda ruha dokunan bir kavramken bazı toplumlarda zamanla yerini daha bedensel duygu ve haza yerini bırakmaktadır. Sanatçılar, her zaman içinde bulundukları toplumun yaşamsal olaylarından etkilenmektedir. Bu sebepten dolayı meydana getirilen bu eserlerde aşk kavramına yüklenen anlam ile toplumsal değişimlerin etkilerini açıkça görülmektedir. "Platon'un Aşk Felsefesine Göre Günümüz Sanatçılarının Resimlerine Yansıması" adlı çalışma dört bölümden oluşmaktadır. Birinci bölümde, kavramsal çerçeve içerisinde Platon'un hayatı, Symposion kitabı, Platon'un Şölen'i bağlamında eros terimi, antik yunanda sevgiyi karşılayan kavramlar incelenerek açıklanmıştır. Antik Yunanda aşk kavramının nasıl ele alındığı, aşk kavramının Antik Yunan dilinde kaç türde ortaya çıktığı ve postmodernizme kadar bu kavramların resim sanatına yansıyıp nasıl ele alındığı ve geçmişten günümüze önemi gösterilmektedir. İkinci bölümde ise resim sanatında aşk kavramının ilk izlenimlerinin eserlere nasıl yansıdığı incelenmektedir. Üçüncü bölümde, Platon'un aşk felsefesine göre günümüz sanatçılarının eserlerine nasıl yansıtıldığı problem edinilmektedir. The concept of love is the subject of painting in most societies and periods. In the artists' paintings, love, images of married couples, runaway lovers or romantic relationships that have come to mind for thousands of years throughout the history of the painting are handled and processed in different ways, allowing the audience to observe the private lives of the couples. The understanding of love varies among societies and periods. For this reason, while love is a concept that touches the soul in some societies, in some societies it is replaced by more physical feelings and pleasure over time. Artists are always affected by the vital events of the society they live in. In these works created for this reason, the meaning given to the concept of love and the effects of social changes are clearly seen. The study titled "Reflection of Plato's Philosophy of Love on the Paintings of Today's Artists" consists of four parts. In the first chapter, the term eros, in the context of Plato's life, the Symposion book, and Plato's Symposium, is explained within the conceptual framework by examining the concepts that represent love in ancient Greece. It shows how the concept of love was handled in Ancient Greece, how many types of love the concept appeared in the Ancient Greek language, how these concepts were reflected and handled in the art of painting until postmodernism, and its importance from past to present. In the second part, it is examined how the first impressions of the concept of love in painting are reflected in the works. In the third chapter, the problem of how Plato's philosophy of love is reflected in the works of today's artists is addressed.
