Gerçekleştirilen bu tez aşamasında 20.Yüzyıl sanat akımlarının Türk portre resim sanatına ve sanatçılarına etkisi araştırılmıştır. Portre kavramının ne anlama geldiği ve portrenin Türk resim sanatına aktarmış olduğu geçmişte ve günümüzde olan etkileri ele alınmıştır. 19.Yüzyıl'dan başlayarak 1960'a kadar olan Türk Resim sanatını ve Cumhuriyet dönemi sanatçıların savundukları düşüncelerini, etkilendikleri sanat akımlarını yaşadıkları dönem içerisinde eğitim sürecinin sanatçılar üzerinde olumlu ya da olumsuz etkilerini ve sanat çalışmalarının incelemeleri üzerinde durulmuştur. 20.Yüzyıl sanat akımlarının oluşum süreçlerinin ayrıntılı bir şekilde incelenmesi ve Cumhuriyet dönemi Türk sanatçılarının bu oluşan sanat akımlarından nasıl ve ne şekilde etkilenerek çalışmalar çıkarttıkları ele alınmıştır. Hem sanat akımlarının hem de Türk sanatçıların bu süreç içerisinde Türk resmine katkıları gözlemlenmiştir. In this thesis stage, the effects of 20th century art movements on Turkish portrait painting and artists were investigated. What the concept of portrait means and the past and present effects of the portrait that it has transferred to Turkish painting art are discussed. From the 19th century to the 1960s, the Turkish painting art and the thoughts of the artists of the Republican period, the positive or negative effects of the education process on the artists during the period when they were affected by the art movements they were influenced, and the examination of art works were emphasized. A detailed examination of the formation processes of the 20th century art movements and how and how the Turkish artists of the Republic period were influenced by these art movements and produced works were discussed. The contributions of both art movements and Turkish artists to Turkish painting have been observed in this process.
