İltifat konusu, belağat, tefsir, gramer ve istidlal gibi birçok ilmin ortak noktası olması sebebiyle önemli bir konu olarak kabul edilmektedir. Bu durum iltifat konusunun önemini daha da artırmaktadır. İltifat konusu Kur'an-ı Kerim'de kullanılmasından dolayı belağat konusu içerisinde kabul edilmiştir. Ne var ki dil alimleri arasında iltifat konusunun belağat ilimlerinden ( Meani, Beyan, Bedii) hangisine tabi olduğu hususunda ihtilaf olmuştur. İltifat; cümledeki konumuna göre ğaib siğadan muhataba siğasına geçiş demektir. İltifat sanatının amacı kelamı yumuşatmak ve dinleyiciyi sıkıcıklıktan ve bıkkınlıktan korumaktır. İltifat sanatının birçok isimi vardır: es- Sarf, el-İnsiraf, el-Adl, el- Udul, et-Telvin, Muhalet'u Muktaza-i ez- zahir, Şecaatü'l- Arab bunlardan bir kısmıdır. Bu araştırmanın temel hedefi; İltifat üslubunun estetik yönlerini ortaya çıkarmak, bu ilmi kimlerin kurduğuna; şartlarını ve taksimatını kimlerin yaptığına ışık tutmak, iltifat üslubu ile alakalı genel tanımları bir araya getirmek, ayrıca kadim ve çağdaş belagat âlimlerinin iltifat kavramı hakkındaki görüşlerini ortaya koymaktır. Bu çalışma, uygulamalı örnekler ve konu ile ilgili Kur'an'dan şahitler verilerek bitirilmiştir. Bu çalışmada çıkarımsal, analitik bir metod kullanılmıştır. The subject of compliment is considered an important issue because it is the common point of many sciences such as rhetoric, tafsir, grammar and inference. This situation further increases the importance of the compliment issue. The subject of compliment is accepted within the subject of rhetoric because it is used in the Holy Quran. However, there is a disagreement among language scholars as to which of the rhetorical sciences (Meani, Beyan, Bedii) the subject of compliment is subject to. Compliment; It means transition from absent to addressee depending on its position in the sentence. The purpose of the compliment art is to soften the words and protect the listener from boring and boredom. The art of compliment has many names: esSarf, el-Ġnsiraf, el-Adl, el-Udul, et-Telvin, Muhalet'u Muktaza-i ezzahir, ġecaatü'lArab are some of them. The main goal of this research is; To reveal the aesthetic aspects of the compliment style, who founded this science; The aim of this study is to shed light on who makes the conditions and divisions, to bring together general definitions related to the style of compliment, and also to reveal the views of ancient and contemporary rhetoric scholars about the concept of compliment. This study was concluded by giving practical examples and witnesses from the Quran on the subject. An inferential, analytical method was used in this study.
