14 Mart 2014 tarihinde dershanelerin kapatılarak özel okula dönüştürülmesi çerçevesinde yasal düzenlemeler yapılmıştır. Bu yasal düzenleme öncesinde ve sonrasında kamuoyunda destek ve eleştiri yönünde uzun süre tartışmalar yaşanmıştır. Tartışılan destek ve eleştiri savunmaları Türkiye basınında geniş yer bulmuştur. Basın, kamuoyunun düşüncesini yansıttığı için önemlidir. Bu sebeple basında yer alan bazı gazetelerin haber ve köşe yazıları konunun farklı yönlerini savunması sebebiyle önemli görülmektedir. Yapılan Araştırmanın amacı, dershanelerin kapatılarak özel okula dönüştürülmesi süreci içerisinde, 2012-2019 yılları arasında basında yer bulan gazetelerin haber niteliğindeki yazılarını ve köşe yazılarını betimlemektir. Bu yüzden Türkiye'de yer alan Ulusal gazetelerden Cumhuriyet, Habertürk, Hürriyet, Milliyet, Sabah, Sözcü ve Star gazetelerinin haber ve köşe yazıları örneklem olarak seçilmiştir. Elde edilen bulgular, nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden doküman incelemesi yöntemi ile analiz edilerek değerlendirilmiştir. Yapılan araştırmada dershanelerin kapatılarak özel okula dönüştürülme süreci eleştiri ve destek yönünde yapılan savunmaları açısından değerlendirilmiştir. Haber ve köşe yazılarında yer alan savunmaya göre dershanelerin kapatılarak özel okula dönüşmesi sürecine destek veren görüşlerin en önemli iki gerekçesi; dershaneler velilere ciddi miktarda ekonomik yük olduğu için kapatılmalıdır. Bununla birlikte alınan karar kapsamında devletin uygulayacak olduğu destek ve teşvikler mağduriyetlerin yaşanmasına engel olacaktır. Bu süreci eleştirenlerin en önemli iki gerekçesi ise; dershaneler var olan yanlış eğitim sisteminin sonucudur. Bu sebeple dershanelere ihtiyaç vardır ve dershaneler bu ihtiyacı karşılamaktadır. On 14 March 2014, a decision was made to close the Supplementary schools and turn them into private schools. Before and after this decision, there were long public debates in support and criticism. The arguments in favour and aganist were widely reported in he Turkish press. The pressis important because it reflects public opinion. For this reason, the news and columns of some newspapers in the press are considered important because they different aspect of the issue. The aim of this study is to describe the news and columns of newpapers that appeared in the press between 2012 and 2019 this reason, the news and columns of Cumhuriyet, Habertürk, Hürriyet, Milliyet, Sabah, Sözcü and Star newspapers were selected as the sample. The results obtained were analysed and evaluated using the document analysis method, which is one of the qualitative research methods. In this study, the process of closing the Supplementary school and transforming them into private schools was evaluated in terms two most important justifications of those who support the process of closing the supplementary school and turning it into a private school are; the supplementary school should be closed because it is a serious economic burden on parents. In addition, the support and incentives to be provided by the state as part of the decision will prevent victimisation. The two main reasons given by those who criticise this process are; Supplementary schools are the result of the existing wrong education System. Therefore, Supplementary schools are closed down, the inequality of opportunities among students will increase even more.
