Bu çalışma Karacaören I Baraj Gölü Kuş ve Memeli türleri araştırılmıştır. Gözlemler Temmuz 2006 - Eylül 2007 tarihleri arasında "Belirli Noktalarda Bekleyerek Sayma (Noktada Sayım) Tekniği uygulanarak yapılmıştır. Hayvanların doğrudan gözlenmesinin yanı sıra çeşitli iz ve belirtilerde değerlendirilmiştir. Çalışma sahasında toplam 54 noktada gözlem yapılmış ve bu noktalar hem 2000 yılına ait Landsant Uydu Görüntüsü üzerine hem de 1/25000'lik topoğrafik harita üzerine işaretlenmiştir. Çalışma sonucunda 14 takıma mensup 35 familyadan; 69'u tür 3' ü cins olmak üzere 72 kuş ve 6 takıma mensup 6 familyadan toplam 7 memeli türü tespit edilmiştir. Kuş türlerinin takımlara dağılımı; Anseriformes 7, Caprimulgiformes 1, Charadiiformes 4, Ciconiiformes 6, Columbiformes 3, Coraciiformes 2, Falconiformes 7, Galliformes 2, Gruiformes 1, Passeriformes 34, Pelecaniformes 1, Piciformes 1, Podicipediformes 2 ve Strigiformes 2 şeklindedir. Memeli türlerin takımlara dağılımı Artiodactyla 1, Carnivora 3, Insectivora 1, Lagomorpha 1 ve Rodentia 1 şeklindedir. In this study, birds and mammal species in Karacaören Dam Lake I were investigated. The observations were made by performing Permanent Observation Technique in the Constant Point (Point Calculating) between July 2006 and September 2007. Also tracks and signs belonging to the animals were evaluated to find. The observations were made in total 54 sample plots and these sample plots were marked on the Landsat Satellite Picture and on the 1/25.000 topographic map. In this study's conclusions, a total of 72 bird species impending 69 genus and 3 species belonging to 14 ordo and 7 mammal species belonging to 6 ordo were observed. The numbers of the bird species for each ordo were followed as; Anseriformes 7, Caprimulgiformes 1, Charadiiformes 4, Ciconiiformes 6, Columbiformes 3, Coraciiformes 2, Falconiformes 7, Galliformes 2, Gruiformes 1, Passeriformes 34, Pelecaniformes 1, Piciformes 1, Podicipediformes 2 and Strigiformes 2. The numbers of the mammals species for each ordo were followed as; Artiodactyla 1, Carnivora 3, Insectivora 1, Lagomorpha 1 and Rodentia.
