Bu çalışmanın amacı Veri Yapıları ve Algoritmalar dersi programında yer alan listeler konusu ile ilgili kavram yanılgılarını tespit etmektir. Bu amaca ulaşmak için çalışmada 24 sorudan oluşan üç aşamalı çoktan seçmeli kavramsal anlama testi geliştirilmiştir. 24 adet sorudan oluşan test 2007-2008 eğitim-öğretim yılında 4 ayrı üniversitenin Teknik Eğitim Fakülteleri Bilgisayar Sistemleri Öğretmenliği programlarında okuyan 291 öğrenciye uygulanmıştır. Araştırmanın güvenirliği SPPS programı kullanılarak test edilmiştir. Testin geliştirilme aşamasında, öğrencilerin listeler konusundaki kavrayışları hakkında bilgi toplamak amacıyla mülakatlar yapılarak başlandı. Sonra, mülakat sonuçları bu konuda uzmanlaşan bir öğretim üyesi ile birlikte incelenerek açık uçlu bir test geliştirildi. Daha sonra bu test, dersi daha önce alan 32 öğrenciye uygulayarak, öğrencilerin her bir soruya verdiği cevaplar incelendi. Bu inceleme sonucunda kavram yanılgısı elde edilemeyen sorular testten çıkarılarak, test geliştirme süreci tamamlandı. Testin ilk aşamasında öğrencilere listeler konusuyla ilgili çoktan seçmeli bir soru sorularak cevabı istenmiş, ikinci aşamasında testin birinci aşamada soruya verilen cevabın sebebini soran başka bir soru sorulmuş ve üçüncü aşamada ise, soruya verdikleri cevaptan emin olup olmadıklarını belirtmeleri istenmiştir. Geliştirilen kavramsal anlama testi, örneklemi oluşturan ve ilgili konunun eşdeğer biçimde anlatıldığı tespit edilen dört ayrı üniversitenin Teknik Eğitim Fakültesi Bilgisayar Sistemleri Öğretmenliği Bölümü üçüncü sınıf öğrencilerine uygulandı. Sonuçlar değerlendirildiğinde öğrencilerin testte üç aşamaya birden verdiği doğru cevaplar üzerinden güvenirlik analizi Cronbach alpha 0.80 bulundu. Diğer güvenirlik analizi de öğrencilerin 3 aşamaya birden verdikleri cevaplarla ortaya çıkan kavram yanılgıları üzerinden yapıldı ve Cronbach alpha 0.49 olarak hesaplandı. Araştırmanın sonucunda, öğrencilerin listeler konusunda bazı kavram yanılgılarına sahip olduğu tespit edildi ve önerilerde bulunuldu. The aim of this study is to find out some misconceptions of students related to list subjects in Data Structure and Algorithm lesson. To achieve this aim, three-stage comprehensive multiple choice test consisting of 24 questions was developed. The test consisting of 24 questions was applied to 291 students study at Computer Systems Teaching Department of Technical Education Faculties of four different universities in the 2007-2008 educational year. The reliability of the investigation has been tested with SPSS programme. Before the formation process of the test, interviews were performed to collect information about the comprehensions of students in the subject of lists. Then, an open ended test was improved by examining the results of interviews with a lecturer. After that this test were applied to 232 students who had this lesson before and all the answers of each question were examined. At the end of this examination, the questions which could not get the misconceptions were removed from the test and the process of formation of the test was completed. In the first step of this test, a multiple choice question was asked about subject of lists. In the second step, another question which has included the reason of the first question was asked. In the third step, students were inquired if they were sure about their answers. The developed comprehensive test was applied to third class students study at Computer Systems Teaching Department of Technical Education Faculties four different universities composed of the sample and determined that this related subject was expressed similarly. While the results of the test have been evaluating, Cronbach's alpha was calculated 0.80 through all of the correct answers given by students in the three-stage test The other reliability analysis was carried out through the misconceptions emerged from all of the answers given in the three-stage test and Cronbach's alpha was calculated 0.49. As a consequence of the investigation, it was determined that students had some misconceptions about the subject of lists.
