Bu araştırma, Antalya ilinde sera sebze üreticilerinin mevcut durumu, sorunları ve çözüm önerilerini belirlemek amacıyla gayeli örnekleme yöntemiyle yürütülmüştür. Antalya iline ait Demre, Kumluca, Finike, Kepez, Aksu, Serik, Manavgat, Alanya ve Gazipaşa ilçelerinden seçilen 2'şer köy ve her köyden seçilen 10 sera sebze üreticisi olmak üzere toplam 180 kişiyle yapılan anket yöntemiyle veriler elde edilmiştir. Ankette, seracılık ve serada sebze yetiştirme tekniğini içeren sorulara yer verilmiştir. Sera sebze üreticilerine; sera sebze yetiştiriciliği (seracılığa başlama nedeni; sera yer seçimi, mülkiyeti, alanı, örtü tipi, konstrüksiyon malzemesi ve yönü); sera iklimlendirme tekniği (ısıtma, pasif ısıtma yöntemleri, enerji kaynakları, aktif ısıtma, soğutma, ışıklandırma, havalandırma, nemlendirme, CO2 gübrelemesi); serada toprak hazırlığı (toprak yapısının uygunluğu, toprak yapısını düzeltme, toprak işleme, drenaj, tuzluluk, dezenfeksiyon, toprak yorgunluğu, su kalitesi); serada sebze üretimi (tür ve çeşit seçimi, yetiştirme dönemi tercihi, türe göre pH ve EC ayarlama, kültürel işlemler, bitki besleme, bitki koruma, hasat ve pazarlama) ve sera üreticilerinin karşılaştıkları sorunlara (finans, bitki besleme, sera klima kontrolü, tür ve çeşit seçimi, mekanizasyon, bitki koruma, teknik eleman, işçi, kültürel işlemler, hasat ve pazarlama) ilişkin bilgiler toplanmıştır. Veriler 2009 üretim dönemine aittir. Araştırma sonucunda; sera yapım tekniği ve serada sebze üretim tekniği ile pazarlama konularındaki belirlenen yanlış ve eksiklerin giderilmesi amacıyla eğitim ve yayım çalışmalarının gereği ve önemi ortaya konmuştur. This study was conducted to assess the current status, problems and the possible solutions of the vegetable growers in Antalya by using purposive sampling method. Ten growers from two villages of Demre, Kumluca, Finike, Kepez, Aksu, Serik, Manavgat, Alanya and Gazipaşa provinces of Antalya were used to collect the data by a survey study, and a total of 180 vegetable growers were participated in the study. The survey had basic questions regarding greenhouse vegetable growing techniques and data was collected on greenhouse vegetable growing (why you have started greenhouse vegetable growing, choosing greenhouse location, greenhouse ownership, production archers, type of covering, construction material, and greenhouse direction); type of climate control systems of the greenhouses (heating, passive heating methods, energy sources used, active heating, cooling, lighting, ventilation, humidification, and CO2 fertilization); soil preparation in greenhouses (suitability of soil type, adjusting soil structure, cultivation, drainage, salinity, disinfection, soil exhaustion, water quality); greenhouse vegetable growing (variety and species selection, selection of growing season, adjustments of pH and EC based on the species selected, cultural applications, plant nutrition, harvest and marketing) and information on the problems faced by the growers (finance, plant nutrition, climatic control of the greenhouse, variety and species selection, mechanization, plant protection, technical personnel, workers, cultural practices, harvest and marketing). All the data of the current study belong to the 2009 production season. At the end of the study, the necessity of conduction of the extension and education seminars were emphasized to correct the mistakes and deficiencies regarding greenhouse construction, greenhouse vegetable growing, production techniques and marketing.
