Turizm, geliştiği bölgelerde ekonomik yapıyı, insanların sosyal yaşamını, kültürel yapıyı, fiziksel mekanı ve doğayı da bir değişim sürecinin içine sürüklemektedir. Bu sürecin yerleşme bütününde farklı katılımcılar açısından olumlu veya olumsuz algılanması turizm plan, politika ve stratejilerinin bir sonucudur. Bu çalışmanın amacı, turizm planlaması adına dünyada ve ülkemizde günümüze kadar atılan adımlar incelenerek geliştirilen strateji ve politikaların etkilerinin değerlendirilmesi ile Eğirdir gibi turizm potansiyeline sahip ve turizmin geliştirileceği bölgelerde plan kararlarının önemi ve etkileri üzerinde durmaktır. Bu amaca yönelik olarak Eğirdir turizminin mevcut durumunun olumlu ve olumsuz yönleriyle birlikte tespit edilmesi aşamasından sonra Eğirdir.de turizmin geliştirilmesine yönelik belirlenecek turizm hedeflerinin ve bu hedeflere ulaşma politikalarının Dünya ve Türkiye Turizm Stratejileri ile örtüştürülebileceğini ve uygulanabilirliği vurgulanmak istenmiştir. Bu çalışma kapsamında, Eğirdir.e gelen yerli ve yabancı ziyaretçilere anket çalışması uygulanmıştır. Bu çalışma ile turistlerin Eğirdir turizmi ile ilgili düşünce ve talepleri tespit edilmiştir. Eğirdir için geliştirilen turizm alternatiflerinden, çok ölçütlü değerlendirme ile çıkan sonucun, anket sonuçları ile bütünleşmesi, çalışmada yer alan turizm önerilerinin kentin gelişimi için uygunluğunun bir sonucudur. Tourism drags economic structure, people's social life, cultural structure, physical space and nature into a process of change in the region which are developed by tourism. In terms of the settlement, a positive or negative perception of the different participants in this process is a result of tourism planning, policies and strategies. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effects of strategies and policies which developed by examining the steps taken till today, on behalf of tourism planning in the world and our country and to emphasize the importance and the effects of planning decisions in areas with tourism potential like Eğirdir. For this purpose, after the determination stage about positive and negative aspects of the status of the Eğirdir.s tourism, the aim is to emphasize applicability of tourism objectives and targets of policy which will be identified by the Eğirdir.s tourism development overlapping with "World and Turkey Tourism Strategy.. In this study, two survey was administered in local and foreign visitors coming to Eğirdir. Tourist demand and tourism-related ideas about Eğirdir.s tourism have been identified with this study. Tourism alternatives developed for Eğirdir, the integration of evaluation of the multicriteria results with the results of the survey, is a result of tourism development proposals and eligibility for the study area.
