Her geçen gün artan nüfusa ve evlenme oranına bakıldığında yeni yerlesim alanlarına ihtiyaç duyulmakta ve ülkemizde yeni konutlar insa edilmektedir. Bu konutlar insanların istediği sekilde tasarlanamamakta sadece varsayılan sartlar doğrultusunda bir tasarım yapılmaktadır. Buna bağlı olarak da günümüzde dar ve orta gelir gruplarına yönelik konut planlarında genellikle mutfakların daha küçük hacimli olduğu bu nedenle fonksiyonel alan kullanımının ve bunu sağlayan mobilya elemanlarının öneminin giderek arttığı bilinmektedir. Bu bağlamda mobilya endüstrisinde bu amaca yönelik değisik tasarımların gelistirilmesi önem kazanmaktadır. Bu çalısmada hedef kitle olarak, TOK. dar ve orta gelir grubu konutlarda yasayan kisiler alınmıstır. Yüzeli kisi ile yapılan yüz yüze görüsmeler ile hedef kitlenin bu mutfaklarda kullanılacak masa ve sandalye ile ilgili öncelikleri ve tercihleri belirlenmeye çalısılmıs, elde edilen sonuçlara göre yeni bir masa ve sandalye tasarımı gerçeklestirilmistir. |

Because of the fact that increasing demand and needs of new residential places, depending on increasing population and consequently increasing rate of marriage, new houses are continuously being built in our country. Generally it is not possible to design of these housing completely suitable for user.s desires and preferences. Usually these are designed in accordance with the default conditions. Kitchen area is generally occupied quite narrow space in the today's existing small home plans, for low and medium-income groups, and therefore people are well aware of the importance of functional area usage and designing furniture elements for the kitchen. In this context, the development of different designs for this purpose, is gaining importance in furniture industry. In this study, people who live in the housing units of TOKI low and medium income groups accepted as the target group. Face-to-face interviews, in total 150, with these individuals used to determine the priorities and preferences and under the light of the results a new table and chair designed.
