Arkeolojik kazılarda, yapıların önemi, maddi zorluklar ve zaman kazının sonucuna etki eden en önemli unsurlardır. Jeofiziği kullanmak yapı tahribatlarının olmamasına, kazı maliyetinin düşmesine ve yapının daha kısa sürede gün yüzüne çıkmasına yardımcı olur. Bu yüzden arkeojeofizik arkeologların en önemli yardımcısıdır. Çalışma alanı olarak seçilen Psidia Antiokheia Yalvaç ilçesinin 1.km kuzeydoğusunda bulunmaktadır. Hala kazı çalışmaları devam eden antik kentte dört farklı alanda jeofizik çalışmalar yapılmıştır. Yapılan çalışmalarda özdirenç ve yer radarı yöntemleri kullanılmıştır. Yer radarı yöntemi bütün alanlarda uygulanmıştır. Özdirenç yöntemi ise gerekli görülen ve jeolojik yapının uygun olduğu yerlerde uygulanmıştır. Yer radarı yöntemi oluşturulan alanlarda Mala marka cihazın 500 mhz.lik anteni kullanılmıştır. Ölçü alımı sırasında profiller birbirine paralel olacak şekilde yapılmıştır ve profiller arası 0.5 metredir. Özdirenç yöntemi sadece 2 alanda uygulanmıştır. Özdirenç yöntemi GF-Instrument marka çok elektrotlu cihazla dipoldipol açılımı kullanılarak uygulanmıştır. Elektrot aralığı 1.5 metre olup toplam profil uzunluğu 70.5 metredir. Yöntemlerin uygulandığı dört alanda da başarılı sonuçlar elde edilmiş ve bu alanların hakkında bilgi sahibi olunmasına yardımcı olunmuştur. Archaeological excavations, the importance of structures, financial difficulties and the most important factors affecting the results of the excavation. . Geophysics use not to damage the structure, decrease the cost of excavation and the structure helps to allow less time to face the day. So the archaeogeophysics most important aid archaeologists. The study area selected as the Antiocheia Psidia is in the northeast of the Yalvaç. Excavation of the ancient city is still ongoing geophysical studies were carried out in four different areas.In this study resistivity and gpr methods used. Gpr method is used all areas. Resistivity method was applied where appropriate geological structure and the necessary areas.when gpr method applied, MALA device used.In this study chosen 500 mhz antenna. When measures were intaking the profiles were parallel to each other. Between two profiles distance is 0.5 meter. Resistivity method as applied to profiles in only 2 areas. Resistivity method apply with GF-Instrument multi electrod device and used dipol-dipol array. Between electrod distance 1.5 meter. Total profilel distence 70.5.
