Yaşayan bir belge niteliğinde olan arkeolojik alanlar ve çevreleri, kendi dönemlerinin sosyo-kültürel ve ekonomik özelliklerini, o dönemde yaşayan insanların yaşam biçimlerini, malzeme ve yapım tekniklerini, taş işçiliği gibi detayları günümüze kadar taşımaktadır. Bu nedenle ortak miras olarak kabul edilen bu alanların korunması ve yaşatılması için gerekli her türlü önlemin alınması sadece ülkesel ölçekte değil küresel ölçekte de değerlendirilmelidir. Bu tez çalışmasında, tarihi çevre, arkeolojik alanlar, arkeolojik alanlarda peyzaj tasarımı kavramları literatür taramasıyla belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Çalışma alanı olan Troya Ören Yeri'nin mevcut durumu, gerçekleştirilen arazi etüt çalışmaları, alana gelen yerli ve yabancı ziyaretçilere uygulanan anketler ve SWOT analizi sonucunda belirlenmiştir. Yapılan anketlerin sonucunda alana ulaşım, yol ve otopark, bilgilendirme panoları ve donatı elemanları yeterli düzeyde bulunmuşken engellilere yönelik altyapı %86.75 oranıyla katılımcılar tarafından yetersiz bulunmuştur. Elde edilen bulgular doğrultusunda Troya Ören Yeri'nde yer alan doğal, kültürel ve arkeolojik değerlerin sürdürülebilir kullanımının sağlanması için öneriler getirilmiştir. Archeological sites and their hinterlands that have the quality of living documents bring some certain details today such as socio-cultural and economics of their own time, the way of living of the people in the past, techniques of material and construction, masonry. That's why, it should be considered to take all necessary measures to preserve these fields, which are accepted as cultural heritage, both in terms of national and international level. In this thesis, it is determined the concepts of historical area, archeological sites, landscape design on archeological sites by literature review. It is determined the current situation of Troy Archaeological Site, which is the main focus of the study, by the applied land surveys, the questionnaires for both domestic and international visitors and SWOT analysis. It is concluded from the questionnaires that although transportation facilities and the quality of the road to and from the site, the informative signs, the parking lot and on-site equipment are satisfactory, the fatalities for the disabled are under satisfactory 86.75 per cent of the participants. It is proposed some measures in order to build a sustainable usage of the natural, cultural and archeological values on Troy Archaeological Site.
