Bu çalışma, Süleyman Demirel Üniversitesi Fen Bilimleri Enstitüsü Jeoloji Mühendisliği Anabilim Dalında Yüksek Lisans Tezi olarak hazırlanmıştır. Çalışma konusu, Taşkesiği ve Ahmetler Yöresindeki (Manavgat Doğusu, Antalya) Pliyo-Kuvaterner yaşlı tsunami tortullarının nannoplankton stratigrafisidir. Bu çalışma kapsamında yapılan nannoplankton biyostratigrafisi çalışmaları ile bölgede bulunan tsunami tortulları ve sahadaki denizel tortul istifin stratigrafisi ayrıntılı olarak çözümlenmiştir. İnceleme alanında bulunan jeolojik birimler alttan üste Oymapınar Kireçtaşı, Geceleme Marnı, Karpuzçay Formasyonu ve karasal çökellerden oluşmaktadır. Çalışma konusunu oluşturan Neojen yaşlı kayaç istifinde (Karpuzçay Formasyonu) yapılan nannoplankton tanımlamalarına göre; formasyonun yaşı ve ortamsal özellikleri hakkında önemli bulgular elde edilmiştir. Eşyaşlı, havza içinden ve havza dışından taşınmış olarak ayırtlanan nannoplankton verilerine dayanılarak çökelimin Neojen'de ve sığ denizde oluştuğu sonucuna varılmıştır. This research has been carried out as a Master Thesis submitted to Süleyman Demirel University's Department of Geological Engineering. Its subject is nannoplankton stratigraphy of tsunami deposits in the Plio-Quaternary age located at the Taşkesiği and Ahmetler district (East of Manavgat, Antalya). Under the studying within studies of nannoplankton biostratigraphy tsunami deposits in the region and the marine sedimentary stratigraphy were resolved in detail. The geological units within the area of survey are made of, from bottom up, Oymapınar Limestone, Geceleme Marl, Karpuzçay Formation and terrestrial sediments. As a result of nannoplankton definitions of the Neogene aged Karpuzçay Formation that is the subject of study, important findings have been obtained on the age of the formation and its environmental features. Based on the nannoplankton data isolated on the transferred material from out of the field and within, the sedimentation is believed to have formed in Neogene and shallow seas.
