Son yıllarda toplumsal yapıdaki gelişim ve değişim orman ürünlerine olan talebi belirgin bir şekilde artırırken buna paralele olarak orman ürünlerinin üretimi, ihracat ve ithalatı hem miktar hem de nitelik olarak değişmiştir. Türkiye'de asli orman ürünlerinden tüketicinin ihtiyacı olan; çeşitli hammaddeler üretilmektedir. Literatür verilerinden ve güncel veri tabanlarından sağlanan bilgilerle, Türkiye orman ürünleri, yılda 12–13 milyon m3 yuvarlak odun tüketen bir yapıya ulaşmıştır. Bu tüketimin% 75'i devlet ormanlarından karşılanmaktadır. Endüstriyel odunun %61'i Orman Genel Müdürlüğü (OGM) satışları, %27'si özel sektör satışları, %12'si ise ithalat yoluyla sağlanmaktadır. The information provided in the literature and current data bases, Turkey forest products per year,12-13 millionm 3 of round wood consumption has reach edastructure. State forests covered 75% of this consumption. 61% of industrial wood in the General Directorate of Forestry (OGM) sales, 27% of sales in the private sector, 12% is provided through import. In this study, primary forest productsand the causes of changes inproduction quantities are emphasized.
