Bu çalışma, sert tohum kabuğuna sahip menengiç (Pistacia terebinthus L.) tohumlarında çimlenme ve çıkışı iyileştirmede, soğuk katlama (30 ve 60 gün), H2SO4 (sülfirik asit) ile aşındırma (30 ve 60 dakika) , sıcak suda bekletme (80oC, 15 ve 30 dakika), sıcak su + soğuk katlama (4 uygulama) ve H2SO4 + soğuk katlama (4 uygulama) uygulamalarının etkinliğinin belirlenmesi amacıyla yürütülmüştür. Menengiç tohumları Eylül 2016 yılında Kahramanmaraş ilinden toplanmış, 48 saat su içinde bekletildikten sonra meyve kabukları soyulmuştur. Çalışmada kontrol olarak hiç bir uygulama görmemiş menengiç tohumları kullanılmıştır. Menengiç tohumlarında nem tayini, tetrazolium testi, çimlenme ve çıkış testleri gerçekleştirilmiştir. |

This study was carried out to determine the effects of cold stratification (30 and 60 days), scarification with sulphuric acid (H2SO4, 30 and 60 minutes), 80oC hot water treatment (15 and 30 minutes), hot water + cold stratification (4 treatments) and H2SO4 + cold stratification (4 treatments) on enhancement of germination and emergence of hard seeded terebinth (Pistacia terebinthus L.) seeds. Terebinth seeds were collected from Kahramanmaraş province of Turkey in September, 2016 and pericarp of seeds were dehulled after 48 hours in water. Nontretaed terebinth seeds were used as a control. Seed moisture, tetrazolium test, germination and emergence tests were carried out in terebinth seeds. |
