Günümüzde kitle iletişim araçları (özellikle televizyon), toplumların sosyal, kültürel ve ekonomik yapılarını etkileyici bir rol oynamaktadır. Haber verme, kamuoyu oluşturma, siyasal sürece katılma, toplumsal bütünleşme, eğitim ve eğlenme gibi konularda televizyona büyük görevler düşmektedir. Televizyonun hem göze hem kulağa hitap etmesi, bu aracı diğer kitle iletişim araçları içerisinde daha önemli hale getirmektedir. Günümüzde iletişim teknolojisindeki hızlı gelişmeler nedeniyle sınır ötesi televizyon yayınları gündeme gelmiş, televizyonun etki alanı daha da genişlemiştir. Hatta bu sınır ötesi televizyon yayınları birer kültür taşıyıcısı konumuna gelirken dünyadaki kültür çeşitliliğini de azaltmaktadır. Televizyonun taşıdığı önem, her ülkeye ve her coğrafyaya göre değişiklik gösterebilir. Üstün bir teknoloji ürünü olan ve kitle iletişim araçları içinde en önemli görülen televizyon, fonksiyonlarını yerine getirirken bazen olumlu bazen de olumsuz etkiler meydana getirebilir. Buradan hareketle, "Sosyolojik Açıdan Televizyonun Toplum Üzerindeki Etkileri- Isparta Uygulaması" başlığı altında yürütülen çalışma dört bölümden oluşmaktadır. Birinci bölümde, iletişimin tanımı, iletişim sürecindeki öğeler, iletişimin toplumsal önemi ve toplumsal iletişim kaynakları incelenmiştir. Televizyonun gelişim süreci, önemi ve fonksiyonları da bu bölümde ayrıntılı olarak ele alınmıştır. İkinci bölümde ise, televizyonun fonksiyonlarını yerine getirirken toplumsal yaşam üzerindeki yararlı ve zararlı etkileri incelenmiştir. Araştırmanın üçüncü bölümünde, genel anlamda televizyonun sosyal, kültürel ve ekonomik açıdan etkileri ele alınmıştır. Dördüncü ve son bölümde ise; Isparta'da belirlenen iki farklı mahallede yapılan anket çalışmaları ile, televizyonun toplum üzerindeki etkileri araştırılmış, bu doğrultuda bir takım sonuçlara ulaşılmaya çalışılmıştır. |

Today mass-media especially television plays an esential rolen on cultural, social and economical issues. Television is expected to contribute a lot to social harmony, government policies, education and entertainment. As television (TV) has visual and audible characteristics that separate it from the other mass communication mediums. In our age, because of the rapid high-tech developments in communications sector the importance of the international broadcasting has become very important. Even international broadcasting has been a medium that melts down cultural differences between nations in a melting pot. The importance of television broadcasting could be changeable from region to region even from country to country. Television as a high-tech media, it may sometimes have advantages and disadvantages while serving on the behalf of the community. In this thesis I have explored the aspect of television broadcasting in four sections under the title of "Socially The Influences of Television on Community in Isparta". In section one, you will see the definition of communication, the other elements in this procedure, the importance of communication mediums in a society and other social communication media. It has also been explored in this section that the development and functions of television are very influential on society. These issues have been emphasized in a detailed way. In section two, I have tried to find out the advantages and disadvantages of the television on society and its members. In section three, you will see the exploration of functions of the television in terms of social, cultural and economics. In the last section (section four), you will find out the results of a survey that was carried out in two totaly different districts of Isparta. And the effects and influences of the television on a society has been laid down in a detailed way, and thanks to these studies I have managed to reach some valuable conclusions. |
