Bu çalışma, Manisa'dan derlenen masallar içinden seçilen 70 masal üzerine kurulmuş ve bu 70 masal çeşitli açılardan incelenmiştir. Çalışmamızı; masalların derlenmesi, yazıya geçirilmesi ve metinlerin bilimsel bir metotla incelenmesi esasına dayandırarak oluşturduk. Çalışma, giriş ve üç ana bölümden oluşmaktadır. Her bir bölüm kendi içinde alt başlıklara ayrılmıştır. Giriş bölümünde Manisa'nın Coğrafi, Tarihi Sosyal, Kültürel ve Ekonomik yapısına özetle değinilmiştir. Birinci Bölümde Manisa masalları tip yönüyle incelenmiş ve Eberhard-Boratav ve Aarne-Thompson katalogundaki tip numaraları ve motif sıralamaları verilmiştir. İkinci bölümde, Manisa masallarındaki ortak unsurlar üzerinde durulmuştur. Bu bölüm, şu alt başlıklardan oluşmaktadır; Kahramanlar, Mekń, Eşya ve Formeller. Üçüncü Bölümde, derlediğimiz masal metinlerine; çalışmamızın son kısmında ise "Kaynak Şahıslar Hakkında Bilgiler" ve "Bibliyografya"ya yer verdik. This study, was based upon 70 folktales which were chosen out of tales compiled from Manisa, and these 70 folk tales were analyzed from different points. We prepared our study backed up to the base of compiling folktales, registering them and by scientific methods examination of texts. The study, being formed from introduction, three main chapter, and bibliography. Each chapter is divided in sub-titles. In the introduction chapter, there is the focus on geographical, historical, social, cultural economical situation of Manisa. In the first chapter, by indicating type/subject of category we found the motive lines and numbers in the Aarne-Thompson and Eberhard-Boratave catalogues. In the second chapter, there is the focus on the associate components in Manisa's tales. This chapter is composed from these sub-titles; The heroes, the places, the goods, and the formeller. In the third chapter, we told the folktales we compiled; at the end of study we give "Bibliography" and "Information about source persons".
