Araştırmanın konusu "Türkiye'nin AB'ye Tam Üyeliği Konusunda Isparta ve Brno Kent Halkının Düşünce Ve Eğilimlerinin Belirlenmesi ve Karşılaştırılması"dır. Birinci bölümde araştırmanın konusu, amacı, önemi, temel hipotezleri anlatılmıştır. Araştırma Türkiye'nin Avrupa Birliği(AB) üyeliğine nasıl baktığı ve dışarıdan, AB üyesi bir ülkeden -Çek Cumhuriyeti- Türkiye'nin üyeliğine nasıl bakıldığı üzerinedir. Araştırma için Türkiye'den Isparta, Çek Cumhuriyeti'nden Brno kenti seçilmiştir. Her iki kentte alan araştırması yapılmış ve anket, gözlem tekniklerine başvurulmuştur. İkinci bölümde ise araştırmanın kavramsal çerçevesi bakımından Avrupa Birliği'nin ortaya çıkışı, genişleme süreci ve temel kurumları anlatılmıştır. Yine kavramsal çerçevede vatandaşlık olgusu ele alınmıştır. Türkiye Avrupa Birliği'ne üyelik konusunda 1959'dan bu yana isteklidir. Bu bağlamda üçüncü bölümde Kopenhag ve Maastricht kriterlerine ve Türkiye'nin bu kriterlere uyumu konusuna değinilmiştir. Türkiye'nin AB'ye uyum konusunda yaşadığı temel sorunlar demokratikleşme süreci, insan hakları ihlalleri, ekonomik gelişim düzeyi ve Kıbrıs sorunu olarak sıralanabilir. Dördüncü bölümde ise müzakere sürecinde Türkiye-AB ilişkilerine yer verilmiş, gelinen aşama anlatılmıştır. Beşinci bölümde araştırma bulguları yer almaktadır. Her iki kentte Türkiye'nin AB üyeliğini desteklemektedir. Son bölümde ise sonuçlar ve buna bağlı önerilere yer verilmiştir. Her iki kentte yapılan alan araştırmasının bulgularına paralel olarak Türkiye-AB ilişkilerine yönelik değerlendirmelerde ve önerilerde bulunulmuştur. Bu çalışmada Türkiye-AB ilişkilerinde her iki kentin beklentileri, endişeleri belirlenerek karşılaştırılmıştır. Bu araştırma ile Türkiye'nin üyelik sürecine katkıda bulunulacaktır. The research subject is the determination and comparison of opinion and tendency of Isparta and Brno publics regarding to the whole membership of Turkey to EU. In the first part of the research, it was explained the subject, aim and importance of the research and basic hypothesizes. This research is mainly focused on how Turkey and also how Czech Republic which is a member of EU looked to the membership of Turkey to EU. For this research, Isparta from Turkey and Brno from Czech Republic were selected. And the area research was realized and the questionnaire and observation techniques were applied. In the second part of the research, it was explained the appearance of EU, expanding process and the fundamental associations in the frame of concepts. Also the term of citizenship was clarified conceptually. From both parts, it was determined that Turkey has been eager to be a member of EU since 1959, therefore the process of being membership of EU has a very long past. In the third part, it was mentioned the Kopenhag and Maastricht criterions and the adoption of Turkey to these criterions. The basic problems about the adoption of Turkey to EU can be written under the titles: the process of being democratic, violation of public rights, the level of economic progress and Cyprus problem. In the fifth part, it was focused on the relationship of Turkey and EU in consultation process and also explained the stage which was arrived. In the following part, it was summarized the findings. In the last part of the research, it was analyzed the findings in both countries and made proposals about the membership of Turkey to EU. At the end of the study, it was found that both countries support the membership of Turkey to EU. Shortly, in this research, it was determined and also compared the expectations and worries of both countries regarding to the membership of Turkey to EU. It is believed that this research will make a contribution to the process of being membership of Turkey to EU.
