Bu çalışmanın amacı; çağdaş maliyetleme yöntemlerinden biri olan faaliyet tabanlı maliyetlemenin inşaat sektöründe uygulamak ve uygulama sonucunun, geleneksel maliyetleme yöntemleriyle karşılaştırmaktır. Günümüz rekabet ortamında maliyet bilgilerin önemi gün geçtikçe daha da artmaktadır. Araştırma, daha doğru ürün bilgilerinin alınmasını, işletmeye önemli ölçüde ekonomik bilgi ve yöneticilere detaylı bilgi üretilmesini, uygun maliyet grupları ve bu gruplara uygun maliyet ölçütü oluşturulmasını sağlayacaktır. Çalışmanın birinci bölümünde, maliyet ve maliyet muhasebesi üzerinde durulmuştur. Ayrıca yaşanan ekonomik ve teknolojik gelişmelerin maliyet muhasebesinde yarattığı etkiler sonucunda ortaya çıkarılan çağdaş maliyetleme yaklaşımları açıklanmıştır. İkinci bölümde ise, faaliyet tabanlı maliyetleme yöntemi ayrıntılı olarak açıklanmıştır. FTM yönteminde birim mamul maliyetlerinin hesaplanması için izlemesi gereken süreç aktarılmıştır. Üçüncü bölümde faaliyet tabanlı maliyetlemenin inşaat sektöründe uygulanması yer almaktadır. FTM yöntemi kullanılarak uygulamamızda yer alan işletmenin birim inşaat maliyetleri hesaplanmıştır. Son olarak, araştırmadan elde edilen bulgular analiz edilmiş ve değerlendirilmiştir. Aim of this study is the applying of the activity-based costing is one of the contemporary-costing methods in the construction sector. Importance of the costing data has been increasing step by step in present day's competitive atmosphere. The study will provide to get more accurate product information, significantly economic data to the enterprises, and detailed information to the managers, suitable costing groups and acceptable cost-criteria for these groups. In the first section of the study, it has been emphasized the cost and cost-accounting. Also, contemporary costing approaches appeared as a result of effects of experienced economic and technologic developments on the cost-accounting were explained. In the second section, activity-based costing method and the procedure required to calculation of the unit construction costing in ABC method was expressed in detail. In the third section, the application of activity-based costing on the construction sector took placed. Also, unit construction costs of the enterprise in our application were calculated using by ABC method. As a conclusion, all the findings obtained from this study were analyzed and evaluated.
