Bu çalışmanın amacını, Türk lojistik işletmelerinin durumsallık yaklaşımı çerçevesinde organizasyonel konumlandırmasını tespit etmek ve bu doğrultuda Türk lojistik sektörünün organizasyon yapısının organik bir yapıda mı yoksa mekanik bir yapıda mı olduğu sonucu uygulamalı bir araştırma yapılarak belirtmektir. Tez çalışması genel olarak üç bölümden oluşmaktadır. Birinci ve ikinci bölümde teorik bilgi, üçüncü bölümde ise araştırma kısmı yer almaktadır. Birinci bölüm üç kısımdan oluşmaktadır. Birinci kısımda lojistiğin tanımı, lojistiğin önemi, lojistiğin nedenleri ve lojistik faaliyetleri; İkinci kısımda lojistik sektörü, lojistik sektörünün amacı ve diğer sektörlere katkısı; Üçüncü kısımda ise Türk lojistik sektörü, Türk ve Dünya lojistik sektörünün gelişimi ve Türk lojistik sektörünün ekonomi içerisindeki payı teorik olarak açıklanmıştır. İkinci bölümde de iki kısım yer almaktadır. Birinci kısımda organizasyon teorileri ve organizasyon teorilerini etkileyen faktörler; İkinci bölümde organizasyonel konumlandırma faktörlerden bahsedilmiştir. İkinci bölümde yapılan teorik araştırma doğrultusunda Türk lojistik işletmelerini durumsallık yaklaşımı çerçevesinde organizasyonel konumlandırması açıklanmıştır. Üçüncü bölümde ise, birinci ve ikinci bölümlerdeki teorik çerçeve göz önünde bulundurularak yapılan araştırmaya yer verilmiştir. Bu bölümde, yapılan anketten elde edilen sonuçlar SPSS 18.0 paket programı kullanılarak değerlendirilmiştir. Çalışmanın sonucunda, Türk lojistik işletmelerinin durumsallık yaklaşımı çerçevesinde organizasyonel konumlandırması yönelik organizasyon yapıları tespit edilmiş ve bir takım öneriler getirilmiştir. The aim of this study is to determine the organizational positioning of Turkish logistics companies within the framework of contingency approach and accordingly to find out through an applied research whether the organizational structure of Turkish logistics companies is organic or mechanic. In general terms, the thesis consists of three chapters. In the first and second chapters, theoretical part of the thesis is given, while the application-related part is in the third chapter. The first chapter is made up of three parts. The definition of logistics, importance of logistics, reasons for logistics, and logistic activities are given in the first part; the logistics sector, aim of the logistics sector, and its contributions to other sectors are found in the second sector, and finally in the third part, Turkish logistic sector, development of Turkish and World logistic sector as well as the share of Turkish logistic sector within the economy are explained theoretically. The second part comprises two sections as well. In general terms, in the second part, organization theories, contingency approach, and the factors affecting the organization structures are mentioned. In line with the theoretical research, organizational positioning of Turkish logistics companies is explained within the framework of contingency approach. The research conducted is given in the third chapter taking into account the theoretical framework in the first and second chapters. In this chapter, the results obtained from the questionnaire are evaluated using SPSS package program. As a result of the study, organization structures for the organizational positioning of Turkish logistics companies within the framework of contingency approach have been determined 2010-2011, and several suggestions have been made.
