Türk Tarihi açısından büyük önem arz eden şer’iyye sicilleri, Osmanlı Devleti’nin iktisadi, hukuki, askeri, dini, idari müesseseleri ve Osmanlı toplum hayatı hakkında çok önemli bilgiler vermektedir. Bu cümleden hareketle tez konusu olan 191 numaralı Isparta Şer’iyye Sicili de, H. 1282-1283 (M. 1865-1867) tarihleri arasında Isparta şehrinin sosyo-ekonomik, kültürel ve folklorik yapısı hakkında önemli bilgiler sunmaktadır. Bahis konusu sicilde geçen tereke kayıtları, tereke sahiplerine ait mal ve eşyaların çeşit ve fiyatları, çocuk ve eş sayıları, terekede geçen yer ve şahıs isimleri, lakaplar, alacaklar, borçlar, miras taksimi vs. konularda oldukça zengin bilgiler vermektedir. Çalışmamızın temel kaynağını oluşturan şer’iyye sicil defteri, Ankara Milli Kütüphane’de bulunan mikrofilmlerden fotokopileri alınarak ve içerdiği belgeler belirli bir plan çerçevesinde tek tek transkript edilerek değerlendirilmiştir. Dolayısıyla çalışma, sadece bir transkripsiyondan ibaret olmayıp, aynı zamanda değerlendirmeyi de ihtiva etmektedir. Vesikalardan tespit edilen bilgiler, değerlendirme aşamasında telif ve araştırma eserlerden elde edilen bilgilerle zenginleştirilmiştir. Çalışmamızın, özelde Isparta, genelde ise Osmanlı taşra teşkilatı ve hayatına ışık tutacağı, ilgili bölge ve konu ile alakalı diğer çalışmalara katkı sağlayacağı umulmaktadır. Posessing great importance in Turkish history, the court records provide significant information about the economy, law, military system, religion, administration system and social life of Ottoman Empire. Considering this sentence, 191 Numbered Isparta Şer’iyye Court Record which is the topic of the thesis gives important informations about Isparta’s socio-economic, cultural, and traditional life during the hegira calendar of 1282-1283 (christian era 1865–1867). Inheritance records in this court record give many information about the type and cost of inherited goods; the number of children and wifes of inheritants, the names, addresses, nicknames, claims and depts, partition of inheritance etc. The Şer’iyye Court Record, which is the main source of the thesis, has been evaluated one seriously by taking copies form their micofilms in Ankara National Library with a planned transcript. So, the study includes not only a simple transcription but it also includes evaluation. Information taken from rations is supported with information taken form reconciliations and other research sources. The study will clarify privately Isparta as well as generally Ottoman provincial system. It will certainly contribute to future studies on the same or similar topics.
