Sanayi devrimine kadar olan süreçte, askeri mühimmat ve malzemenin alanlara sevk edilmesi olarak tanımlayabileceğimiz lojistik kavramı, sanayi devrimi ile birlikte çehresini değiştirerek, yeni savaş alanları olan uluslararası piyasalarda etkili bir rekabet silahı olarak karşımıza çıkmaktadır.Lojistik, yeni dünya ekonomisinde; firmaların hem ulusal hem de uluslararası rekabette karlılıklarını koruyabilmeleri için maliyet düşürücü çözümler sunan süreçlerin toplamını oluşturmaktadır. Dünya ticaretinin doğudan batıya doğru yön değiştirmesi ile Türkiye coğrafyasının lojistik açıdan daha da değerlenmesi ülke yönetimi tarafından göz ardı edilmemekte ve yüksek altyapı yatırımları gerektiren lojistik merkezleri TCDD aracılığıyla kurulmaktadır. Kurulan bu merkezlerin, yaratacakları iş hacmi, istihdam ve çarpan etkileriyle bölge kalkınmasında etkili olacakları düşünülebilir.Bu bilgiler doğrultusunda Isparta, Antalya, Burdur illerinin dahil olduğu ĠBBS 2 Düzeyinde TR61 bölgesi; ülke içerisindeki konumu, yükselen dış ticaret hacmi, üretim merkezlerine yakınlığı, iş gücü maliyetlerinin ülke ortalamasının altında olması gibi yönleriyle lojistik merkez barındırma şansına sahip olabilir.Hazırlanan bu çalışmanın, birinci bölümde lojistik ile ilgili kavramlara yer verilirken, ikinci bölümde TR61 ile ilgili genel bilgiler verilerek üçüncü bölümde de bölgenin lojistik açıdan analizi yapılmaya çalışılmıştır. Logistics concept, which is described as miltary ammunitin and material referred to areas by changing its countenance with industrial revolution has emerged as an effective competitive weapon in international markets which are new fields of battle in the process until the industrial revolution.Logistics has formed the sum of the processes which offered cost-cutting solutins that companies can preserve their profitability at both national and international competition of them in the new world economy. World trade in Turkey with the change of direction from east to west even more appreciation of the logistics aspects of the geography of Turkey are not ignored by the management of the country and logistic centers that requre high infrastructure investments are established by TCDD. It can be considered that they will be effective in regional development with the effects of business volume, employment and multiplier in these established centers.Based on this informatin NUTS in level 2 TR61 region including the provinces of Isparta, Antalya, Burdur may have the opportunity of logistic center hosting with the aspects of the location within the country, the rising volume of foreign trade, the proximity to productin centers, labor costs being below the national avarage.In the first chapter of this prepared study, while the key elements of logistic are given, in the second chapter general informatin about TR61 are given and in the 3rd chapter the analysis of the region has been made in the logistic aspect.
